Easy Pie! This is a cinch anda guarantee work through. It involves putting your PS3 into a DMZ (demilitarized zone) which simply means opening all of the ports on it.

If you have the following problems, this is likely to fix it.

  • Not being able to join rooms
  • Not being able to speak over your headset
  • Not being able to hear other people over their headset
  • Not being able to join private games
  • Any problems to do with connectivity to the PSN, especially if your computer will connect to the internet, but your PS3 won't.

Part 1-(On PS3)
  • Firstly, you will need to assign your PS3 a static internal IP address. Normally whenever a device connects to your router it will be assigned a different internal IP address. These are normally 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, 192.168.1.4 and so on. Assigning a static one will ensure that your PS3 will get the same one every time it connects.
  • Go to the "Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings" option on the PS3 XMB. Choose whether you are using wireless or wired.
  • Both selections should show a page called "Address Settings". Here you will need to select "Custom". Another page will then display entitled "IP Address Setting". The option "Manual" will need to be selected.
  • This will display a page where customizable IP Addresses are available to be entered.
  • IP Address - This will need to have the Static IP address in it. Use 192.168.1.80, simply because it is unlikely that 80 other devices will be connected at the same time.
  • Subnet Mask - always set to 255.255.255.0
  • Default Router - Is the internal IP Address of your router.
    1. To get the exact ip of your router you should go to
    2. Start
    3. Run
    4. cmd [Hit Enter]
    5. Type in ipconfig and hit enter, this should come up with all the ip addresses to do with your computer and the network. The address you will need to enter in this option is listed as "Default Gateway".

  • Primary DNS - Same IP Address as "Default Router"
  • Secondary DNS - Same IP Address as "Default Router"
  • Proxy When you get to the proxy screen, select "Do not use Proxy"
  • MTU Automatic
  • UPnP Enabled

Part 2-(On PC)
  • In your Internet Browser, type the address of your default gateway, this will take you to your Router Configuration Page. Look for any mention of DMZ
  • When you have found this, it will ask you for the Static IP of the DMZ host. This is simply the Internal IP that you assigned your PS3. We used 192.168.1.80.
  • Finally, turn off your Router, PC and PS3 for a few minutes to ensure that the new settings are loaded. Then you're ready to go!

What kind of router is it? Some are much more difficult then others if your going wireless but then it could just be the signals to weak or the router wont allow the PS3 to go through. You can try adding it to your firewall settings and double checking the WEP key.

Ipod froze

A white screen on an iPod Touch is the sign of a generic error, meaning you won't get a specific error message. Usually when this happens the white screen won't change and the iPod is frozen on that screen. Apple Support outlines a specific series of steps to take to deal with this problem, from turning the iPod Touch off to completely reinstalling the operating system if necessary.

What the White Screen Means The white screen is a sign that a software error has occurred in the iPod Touch. Unless you received an error message first, it's usually something near the root level of the iPod's operating system that caused the iPod to cease functioning normally. Rather than shut off completely, it goes to this white screen to let you know there's been an error. Unfortunately you usually lose unsaved information when this occurs. b> Resetting b> Try turning the iPod Touch off, then on again. This is the simplest way to reset your iPod Touch. If it remains stuck on the white screen, force a reset by holding down the Sleep button (top right corner) for about 10 seconds. The screen will go dark, then the Apple logo will appear. If it turns off and doesn't turn on again, the battery may be too low. b> Restore b> If a manual reset doesn't work and the screen remains stuck on a white screen, you'll need to restore the iPod to reinstall its operating system. Plug your iPod, via its charger cable, into your computer. Open iTunes and click on your iPod, then the "Restore" button on the main screen. b> Problematic Apps b> If you consistently receive a white screen while using a particular app, the app may be faulty or installed incorrectly. Try re-syncing the app to your iPod Touch and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you may need to delete the app to avoid the white screen problem.

Its says, invalid arguement wen trying to connect to interenet

You can try this, it seems long and pointless but it cannot hurt anything. OK. we are going to goto Settings, General, Reset. 1st. Reset Location Warning, click red button, then Reset Network Settings, Red Button again, iPod will Re_boot then back to Settings, General, Reset and Reset All Settings, hit RED BUTTON TWICE! iPod will Re_boot Then press and hold the POWER and HOME and HOLD till you see APPLE logo. As I said , You will not lose any data, it will make it faster too! THEN re connect to WIFI. Hope it works!

Error code 80029940

It sounds like a disk read error. In the future please supply information on what you were doing win the error occured. i.e. playing a video game, watching a Bluray movie... etc.

Likely that the movie itself is the issue. Try unconnecting your PS3 from the internet reseting and trying to play the video again without your PS3 connected to the internet..

Good luck.

Try to Download again!

Reset Your Settings! and then Try again?

Still No Luck? Do You have internet connection problems? Does the PS3 pass network setup with no issue?

I pod touch help

You unplugged the thing before it was done.  Hold the power button at the top and home button at the bottom for 10 seconds, then let go of the top power button while still holding onto the home button for 10 more seconds.  This will reset the thing.  Then just hook the ipod back into your computer and try again my friend.

My itunes doesnt work

try connecting to another computer that has itunes. this sounds like it wont solve anything but for some reason i get errors sometimes and as soon as i connect to another computer and then connect to the original i dont get errors from the original computer i was trying to use.

if that doesnt work, hold the power and home button untill your ipod shuts off then turn it back on. this sometimes helps as a sort of reset for your ipod without losing any of your music or etc.
hope this helped!
