Your email may have been tagged due to viruses or spam.

Yahoo would not have blocked the account, you should contact People PC tech support to see what is going on with your account.

I lost my emails since I upgraded from windoows xp to windows 7

Features available through Yahoo! Mail include unlimited storage, the ability to view photos and videos from your inbox and the ability to send 50 files or 100MB worth of attachments in a single email.

You can also access Yahoo!'s instant messaging software from your inbox and check email on your mobile phone and other Internet-enabled devices.

Before signing up for Yahoo! mail, check its compatibility with your version of Internet Explorer.Standard Yahoo! Mail

Yahoo! Mail's standard interface works with Internet Explorer 7 and higher. However, Internet Explorer 7 users may be unable to use the reply bar, slideshows or Yahoo! Messenger from their inbox.

To access these features, use at least Internet Explorer 9. All Internet Explorer users must have Windows 7, XP or Vista to use the standard form of Yahoo! mail. Mac operating systems using Internet Explorer are not supported by the current version of Yahoo! Mail.
Older Option

Users who want to use Yahoo! Mail Classic will find it compatible with Internet Explorer 6, as well as newer versions of the browser.

Yahoo! announced to customers in July 2011 that it would soon stop supporting Internet Explorer 6. Yahoo! Mail Classic works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista, as well as Windows 7.

Yahoo! Mail Classic lacks many of the upgrades found in the current version of the email program.

Upgrades
While Yahoo! Mail supports older versions of Internet Explorer, the company recommends that users upgrade to the most current version.

Yahoo! says using the newest browser software provides more speed and added protection against viruses and software.
Enabling ActiveX

If you plan to use the current version of Yahoo! Mail on a Windows machine, you'll want to enable your computer's ActiveX controls so you can access all the features of the email program.

To do this, go to the "Tools" menu or the gear symbol in Internet Explorer, then select "Internet Options" and "Security."

Click on "Internet," then "Custom Level."
Scroll down to "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins" and "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting." Enable each of these options and save your settings.

Reboot Internet Explorer.

Close a Microsoft Email Account

Microsoft provides a free email account known as Windows Live Hotmail.
This service allows you to send and receive emails from friends, family and businesses.

Sometimes though, it is necessary to close your Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail account.
Maybe someone who is unauthorized has gained access to your email account or you simply do not need the account anymore.

Closing a Microsoft email account can be confusing for people who have never done it but it is simple when you know the steps.

Delete content from other Microsoft services such as Windows Live Messenger, XBox Live, Windows Live Spaces and Windows Live Skydrive.

Doing this will ensure that your entire Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail account will be fully closed and inaccessible.

Go to Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail's close-account page. This can be found at http://mail.live.com/mail/CloseAccountConfirmation.aspx.

You will be required to sign into your Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail account.

Click "close account" once sign-in is complete and follow the directions on the screen. Allow 365 days for your user name to be fully deleted within Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail's system.

CAN NOT ACCES MY YAHOO MESAGES.

If you are unable to sign in to Yahoo! Web Messenger, you may see an error message such as "Website Blocked" or a notification explaining that your login credentials are incorrect.

If your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements, the browser may not be able to display the page at all.

Confirm that your computer meets the system requirements and that the Yahoo! Web Messenger website is not blocked on your network, and confirm that your password is correct to sign in and begin chatting online. No Account
To log in to Yahoo! Web Messenger, you must have a Yahoo! account.
This enables your friends to add you to their contact lists and chat with you.

It also gives you access to other services such as Yahoo! Mail.
To create an account from the Yahoo! Web Messenger page, click the "Get Started" button, and then click "Sign Up" on the following page.

Provide the requested basic information, including your name and birth date, and select your desired username and password.

Incorrect Password
When signing in to Yahoo! Web Messenger, you must provide the password that you selected when creating your Yahoo! account.

If you provide an incorrect password when signing in, Yahoo! Web Messenger displays the error message "Invalid ID or Password."
Click the "I can't access my account" link at the bottom of the sign-in screen.

On the following screen, click "I forgot my password" and then click "Next."
Follow the prompts to verify your identity and reset your Yahoo! password.

System Requirements
You may see errors if you attempt to use Yahoo! Web Messenger on a computer running an older operating system such as Windows 2000 or Millennium Edition, as Web Messenger requires Internet Explorer 6 or newer. Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari are also officially supported.

If you have confirmed that you are running a supported browser, navigate to the Adobe Flash Player page at adobe.com/software/flash/about.

The screen should display the message "Adobe Flash Player Successfully Installed."
Download and install Adobe Flash if you do not see this message.

Website Blocked
If you receive an error message such as "This page has been blocked" when you attempt to access the Yahoo! Web Messenger page, your network administrator has elected to block the website in the network's firewall.

Parents can also use home routers to block websites.
Ask your parents or network administrator to remove the block so you can use Yahoo! Web Messenger.

Hotmail not receiving. Enable IMAP How?

Windows Live Mail is the desktop email application of Office Live, introduced with Windows 7. Windows Live Mail replaces Outlook Express in Windows XP and Windows Mail in Windows Vista. You can use Windows Live Mail to access most free email accounts, such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail, as well as those offered by Internet service providers. You can also set up your IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) account to use Windows Live Mail.

Open the Office Live email application. Click "Start," select "Programs" or "All Programs" and select "Windows Live Mail" from the "Windows Live Folder." Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts" to open the "Accounts" dialog box. If you do not see thetoolbar, press the "Alt" key to display it. Click the "Add" button, select "Email Account" and click "Next." Type in the complete IMAP email address, such as "name@emailprovider.com" into the "Email Address." Enter the password for that account in the "Password" box. Enter the name you want displayed to email recipients in the "Display Name" box. Select the "Manually Configure Server Settings for Email" check box and click "Next." Select "IMAP" in the "My Incoming Mail Server Is" list. Enter "imap.ispname.com" into the "Incoming Server" box, replacing "ispname" with the name of your email provider. Type "smtp.ispname.com" into the "Outgoing Server" box, replacing "ispname" with the name of your email provider. Click "Next" and then click "Finish." Hope this helps.

Please can you help,i can recieve emails but not send them , how can i fix this. roger

Most often this problem occurs when your internet service provider (ISP) blocks their sending port from use by other servers.

Example: If your internet service provider is bellsouth for example and your outgoing mail server is set to mail.yahoo.com or smtp.yahoo.com or mail.yourdomainname.com etc.... it may be getting blocked by bellsouth. The do this to avoid spammers from using their systems.

To fix it, contact your internet service provider and ask what your outgoing mail server should be. For Bellsouth it would be mail.bellsouth.net. Replace your outgoing mail server information with the information provided by your ISP and all should work well.

Here is the link to Microsofts step by step instructions on changing this information in Outlook

You simple CANNOT. Windows Mail no longer supports the HTTP servers used by Yahoo! and other web-based e-mail providers. Windows Mail does not permit the use a Web-based (HTTP) e-mail account on a computer that is running Windows Vista.
For an alternative, use Windows Live Mail instead of Windows Mail

loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); Windows Live Mail is an e-mail program that you install on your computer. Windows Live Mail stores messages on your computer. This means that you can access, read, and compose e-mail messages even when you are not connected to the Internet.

Windows Live Mail works with popular Web-based e-mail services such as Hotmail, AOL mail, Google mail, and Yahoo! mail. Windows Live Mail is built to automatically configure many popular e-mail services.

Can't send email in outlook

You may want to try to access the mail server through
another email client, such as "Courier Mail" from rose city:

http://www.rosecitysoftware.com/Courier/

This will tell you whether the problem is in your outlook settings,
or elsewhere. If Courier works, you may decide to stick with it,
it is simple to setup, and far superior.

If the courier mail does not solve the problem, you may have to
go through the "re-install network wizzard routine" again, disable
the windows firewall, disable the router firewall, disable all other
security widgits until you find what is blocking the email access.

This is assuming of course that you do not have server or
server settings problem as you said.

You may also have a rootkit or a virus lurking in the IP stack,
or the email protocol drivers, so scan your machine.
