Hi..,

I am using a SONY - DCR-DVD703E , Handycam and could not ply the dvd in my LAPTOP nor DVD player..Can you please suggest me to retrieve the data. I had the same problem as you did... but with my Samsung Dvd Recorder . I recorded a dvd of a tv show, but when i putted on my computer, it just didnĀ“t played! just like it didn't on all my others dvd players.. the only place that can play it its the Samsung DVD Recorder ...
When I explored it on my computer I saw that it only has one file with three things - .ifo, .vro, .bup -... it doesn't have any .VOB!
I'm really confused... does anybody know how can I convert it or something like it?

Hello,

For read your files in your laptop, you con download vlc and open your file *.vro.

For converting you must use software like AVS Video Converter 6 or TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring and other.

I am trying to make a dvd from a HDD video cam to a sony DVDirect recorder VRD-MC3 and a message saying non supported USB devbice keeps comiong up. Can you hellp?

The manual of the DVD doesn't say much for models, say's sony HDD, sony DVD, so maybe it's not compatible. Do you have a memory stick for the handycam ? If you stored the video on the internal storage, check the manual to see if you can move it to the memory stick, then put the stick into the DVD player. Or you will need a PC to transfer it with USB, then get a memory stick and put all the video on in and not internal storage, if the DVD is not compatible with the handycam.

DivX codec bundle includes the v6.8.5 community codec known the work with most DVD players as long as the FOURCC codes is DIVX or DX50 you will need to go pro if you want to use the DivX Convertor the best choice to create Home Theatre DivX media for use with Standalone DVD players.

The latest bundle includes the v6.9.1 codec and H.264 Decoder v1.1.0

Virualdub v1.9.8 by Avery Lee need say more this Guy can convert my DivX anytime I have included some32bit plugins and the BT8X8 plugin you will also need AC3ACM v1.4 by fccHandler that I have included.

DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0 -Lighting's first and best decrypter of CSS for DVD-Video use this in the IFO mode and you can use AGK to easily create 800MB DivX versions of the main film, the burning functionality has been developed inImageBurn v2.5.0.0

AutoGordianKnot v2.55 - Allows you to easily encode Xvid and DivX files from a decrypted DVD with IFO files created from DVD Decrypter. Just select the size and codec DivX 350MB for example and off you go. Requires the DivX Codec to be installed for this functionality.

AVIDemux v2.5.1 - Deals with packed bitstreams and allows you to adjust video framerate the audio time lag in milliseconds. Auto functions give you PSP, iPhone and Zune.

AVIRecomp v1.5.0 - Uses internally installed VirtualDubMod v1.5.10.2; Avisynth v2.8.5.2 and Xvid v1.2.1. This installs similar to AutoGordianKnot v2.55 but can't use DivX codec at the moment, allows re-size, cropping, subtitles and logo additions as well as audio conversion VBR, CBR and ABR.

I have also included the excellent KMPlayer v2.9.3.1428 this will allow you to test the audio synch delay/lead in real time using the menu option shown on the enclosed jpg, this will allow you to experiment until you find the correct lag/lead do you can use this in one of the above programs to fix the audio lag/lead on you MPG4

Check video input setting to DVD recorder...should be set to "External" or "Line". This should activate the video input jacks on the rear of the RDR-VX530 and allow it to "see" your Sony handycam.

I need to know what formats you can record a DVD and which is bes

Hey!
I am now using Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum which can turn DVDs into almost any video format directly including FLV video you have mentioned. So you can have a try of it and convert your DVD into FLV video directly. You can free download it at it's official web: http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/dvd-ripper-platinum.html#181. For how to use it, you can refer the official guide at: http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/guide/dvd-ripper-tutorial.html#181.
Hope that helps.

Sony CD/DVD Player DVP-NS50P not playing my avi files DVD+RW

You need to convert avi files to dvd format before burning, otherwise the player won't recognize them. Google "avi to dvd" and you'll find a number of free or pay programs that will do the conversion for you.
