If the computer came from a manufacturer (such as Dell) you do not need to use that product key. But you must install with the discs that come with the computer. These OEM Licenses do not work with retail discs, or retail systems.

During the validation, it will give you a Microsoft phone number. Call that number and they will help you activate the installation. If they are unable to do so, you will need to reinstall windows (or restore the system to factory default using the manufacturer's restore procedure.

Hope this helps

Need product code win 7 home premium says mine is invalid

when it fails to activate it gives you an option to call microsoft. do so, and if the cert (product code) is valid, they will activate your install. The certificate should match the install DVD.
If the certificate has a PC manufacturer's name on it, you will need to use the manufacturer's version of the install disk, as the licence is pre-activated with their disk using their hardware.

I have not a product key windows vista 32 bit

Hi,

If your Vista Version is original then you must have a product key to activate. See your Vista pack, box and inside. There should have the product key. Some time in corporate version or OEM pack you may not found any product key because that version is pre activated. In that case just install the pack by ignored the product key activation step. After installation, try to update it from internet. Then check in the My Computer properties that if the windows activated or not. If it is not activated, then contact with dealer or from where you have purchase it. You can contact with Microsoft by visiting Microsoft website.

My windows xp professional did not pass windows validation

From where did you get your computer?
It's a serious breach-of-contract if a computer-store "pre-installed" Windows (XP or Vista or 7) on your computer, and they used a "stolen" product-key.

If a "friend" of yours installed Windows XP Professional, using a "stolen" product-key, they have not done you a favour.

Have your credit-card ready, and follow the on-screen instructions to make an online purchase (from Microsoft) of a valid product-key, in order to "get genuine" and to "pass" the "validation" check.

How do i remove a copy of unvaladated conterfit windows

Was the operating system pre-installed when you got it?
Does your computer have a Product Key on the top, side, back?
xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
When you first install windows, microsoft will ask you to validate windows. If the Product Key or OEM number is not an original you will get that message.

Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916247

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag (http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag)
  2. Click Start Diagnostics.

Note If you receive a dialog box that asks whether you want to run this file or to save this file, click Run.

The WGA Diagnostic Tool analyzes the computer and then lists the reasons why you cannot validate the copy of Windows XP. The WGA Diagnostic Tool may also list some error messages.

The most common problems are an invalid product key and a blocked volume license key. If the product key that is generated by the WGA Diagnostic Tool differs from the original product key, go to step 3. If this is not issue, see the "More Information" section to resolve the problem.
  3. If the product key that is generated by WGA Diagnostic Tool differs from the original product key, you must change the product key back to the original product key. To change the product key, use the Windows Product Key Update Tool. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/PKUInstructions.aspx (http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/PKUInstructions.aspx)
  4. Follow the instructions on the Web site, and then try to validate Windows XP again.

IF it came with a Vista Install, and you are installing the exact same Vista, then YES, The "Key" on the bottom, is the right one and it will absolutely work. These units have a BIOS that has a special Activation Code inside. The Windows install "Sees" that "Code" and Activates Vista. You DO need to user an ACER Version though, this can be downloaded from the "net though, as an ISO,burn that to DVD, and you can use that.

Reinstalling xp will not take my product key

If you are reinstalling Windows XP from a NON-DELL disc, and trying to use the Dell OEM product key, it will not work.
OEM versions of Windows have a modified precopy2.cab and a retail version of XP will not validate the OED product key from the chassis. This is because the OEM media for Dell has a precopy2.cab that pre-loads the product key when the system is BOOTED to the OEM media (It also pre-activates the OS)
Your choices at the point are:
  1. Re-install the OS from a Dell OEM CD (They can be purchased on EBay for around $20, and only work on Dell Systems)
  2. Purchase a valid Retail Key from Microsoft

I have the microsoft outlook 2007 cd, but I need a product key?

Do you have a valid retail copy of MS Office ??? if yes then give me the part number on the inner circle of Office disc ( Starts with X12 ), I will help you, but if you are expecting a PK Key without having a retail copy of MS Office then I AM SORRY.
An alternative for Outlook is Outlook Express/Windows Mail which comes pre installed and is part of the windows XP/Vista Operating system.
