The stripe is actually blank! The print that appears in the area becomes lighter with each page printed eventually becoming a 1" wide blank stripe down the right side of the page.

Tried all the above without success. Still need some help.

Thanks for the clarification.

The "Cleaning Stick" is actually a little pad on the end of a flexible piece of plastic that wipes off the glass that covers the Laser.

Tip: When you are using it, you should apply a slight upward pressure on the end you are pulling and pushing. This forces the pad down onto the glass and will give better results. The little plastic rods that are attached to the pad are very flexible and should not break with the slight upward pressure.

Now for the actual problem:

You are getting the glass clean with the pad but it isn't staying clean.

The reason for this is that Toner (Black, Yellow, Cyan or Magenta) is drifting down from up above.

The usual cause for this (with the CX11) is that one or more of the Toner Cartridges are not inserted properly or that they were inserted properly but have popped loose.

I suggest that you check ALL toner cartridges.

It would be best to Remove and Re-insert them.

No need to completely remove the cartridges from the "drum".
Just pull them out slightly then re-insert them properly.

Make sure that you follow the Manual Instructions to the letter !
I have seen some so-called "experts" remove/insert them improperly !

Good Luck !

I'm going to make three assumptions:

    1. You correctly removed & re-inserted ALL 4 cartridges.

    2. Your problem is still the same one. That is, after you clean with the Wiper, the prints are ok for several copies then the blank streak begins to appear.

    3. Your printer is out of warranty.
If the above assumptions are correct then there are two Choices at this stage.

    1. "Dive deeper" into the innards of the CX11 to find out more.
    2. Call for a qualified Epson repair person.

If you want to "go deep" AND you are proficient with basic tools (Have at least a good #2 Phillips screwdriver, a good flat blade screwdriver and a good pair of needle nose pliers.) then maybe we can find more about out what is causing the problem.

Please understand that you could actually cause MORE & possibly irreparable damage to your printer if you inadvertantly push or pull something too hard during the disassembly or re-assembly.

If, after all my ranting above, you still want to go ahead then respond back and I'll attempt to guide you through some disassembly.

    Thanks !

Right side of every page has pink strip down page

Either your magenta cartridge is leaking out of the right corner or you have a defective magenta drum.
(maybe it got scratched when changing the cartridge?) If it's the magenta drum, you have to replace all the drums since they come in one unit. OEM part only.

Intermittent blank stripe down Right Side of page

Open the top cover, lift up the PCU lever & remove the PCU. Rotate the carousel (Toner holder) by hand and check that all of the toner levers are locked down fully. Check if any of the toner levers are loose and possibly moving as the drum is rotated. There is a small clear plastic flap below each cartridge, it is possible that one is fitted incorrectly or even missing allowing toner to leak past and fall on to the laser lens thereby blocking the laser and causing these symptoms. Hope this helps.

Epson CX11NF printer problem-repair solved

To clear stripe....Open the front cover and look on the inside of the right side of the printer....There you will see a pictorial instruction showing the PRINTER HEAD cleaning procedures.

Follow them (remove tab/plug on right side, pull out on head lock arm on inside right, then fully pull out the printer head arm inside the port on the (outside of printer) right side.....Then push it back in, replace tab cover, push the lock back in (inside right-front) and problem solved.....

I had the same problem and managed to clear it by cleaning the print head. You can fiind instructions on how to do this in the pdf manual on the Epson web site at - go to page 351 and it should get you through it OK.
