Question about Cuisinart DCC-100 Coffee Maker

Cuisinart DGB-300 coffee maker brew pause valve

Cuisinart DGB-300 coffee maker: Where can one get the Brew Pause valve on bottom of the Grinder/Filter Basket? (It stops flow of coffee from basket when carafe is removed from heater plate, so a cup can be poured in mid-brew.) I dropped the basket and broke off the valve. All I need is that small part. Cuisinart hasn't answered my question. I broke my brew pause valve off of my brew basket, but for the DCC-100. I can't find a replacement anywhere!

No one has just the individual part, but you can get the whole brew basket with the part included on Cuinart's website, or by calling them.

This coffee maker (10 c maker with grinder) beeps it's done every few minutes with water left. we have to brew about 5 times for a full pot, what gives?

Presume this is the Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Model # DGB-600BCC

An instruction booklet is available here: http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

Review the sections beginning on page 11 of the pdf on Turning Off the Grind Function (if not using the grind feature) and Making Coffee.

Make sure you are turning off the grind function if using preground coffee and that the reservoir lid is securely closed.

Check the Cups Setting button; is sounds like the 1-4 feature may be turned on.

Cuisinart DGB-900BC filter basket brew pause spring came out. How do I fix it?

You can push the soft rubber stop or valve back on the plunger stem with the flat side down. It can pull out if you are rough with it or if the plunger gets stuck in your dishes drip rack. But if it is torn you need to order a new basket because I don't think the parts are sold separately.

Condensation- Cuisinart coffeemaker DGB-300

The condensation is normal, not just with this Cuisinart Grind n Brew, but with ALL Cuisinart Grind n Brews - because of this, you will really need to clean it after every use if you want the grinder portion to last long. As far as the bean amt - Cuisinart bases it's reccomendations on a smaller-than-normal coffee cup size of 5 ozs or so. Plus, the condensation, as you mentioned, will prevent a certain portion of the grinds from flowing to the brew/filter basket. Add more beans or less water to make a stronger cup.

Automatic Grind not working

My grinder was not working properly, because the blade was not rotating freely. So we carefully chipped away some caked on coffee residue. Then it worked for awhile, but started to sound weird and only partially grind the coffee. So we applied a small amount of vegetable oil to the blade and let it seep down a little, and that was very succcessful! Just needed a lube job!
