Call your warranty and see if they can replace it, just dont tell them why it really broke.

Watsuke,

Any tech worth anything to LG would walk into the house and immediately identify what was wrong with it. Lets put it this way. I look at your proof of purchase. Is the PoP more than a few days old? Chances are this unit has been used and was functioning properly prior to this 'incident.' That said, screens do not suddenly crack, break or otherwise shatter. Unless it was damaged during shipping or transit from the store to your home, it is not a defect that LG will cover. It's simply not a manufacturer's defect. It's a customer abuse issue. Not only will LG *NOT* fix this under warranty, they will in fact void out your warrenty for this.

LG can. and in some cases to fix certain problems, does replace the panel assemblies on TVs, both plasma and LCD. This can be done. However, LG will not do it for a customer who has thrown his Wiimote through the front of the screen. Sorry. And as I said, any tech who looked at the screen would be able to more or less instantly figure out that lack of TV signal is caused by the unauthorized modification to the screen by way of attempting to install a wiimote into the glass.

So Watsuke, your advie to lie through omission is in fact rather useless here.

Spider webs behind screen

Pardon me but do you mean the screen has spider web looking patterns all over it? Or are you saying that spiders have crawled into your set and spun webs to catch flies?

If you have a spider web pattern problem then something has impacted your television screen and it is broken. You can check and see if your homeowner's insurance covers this, contact a service provider to see if they want to buy the television for its parts, and contact Mitsubishi to see if they offer a discount or pro rated rate on a new or refurbished television for when things like this happen.

If the problem is that you have spiders in your television I do not recommend vacuuming it out. I have seen people's televisions go out after they attempt to remove dust and webs that way. In this instance I also recommend contacting a servicer and the manufacturer.

My screen on my 52'' tv cracked can i replace it

My daughter cracked ours when it was 3 days old, like a lovely spider web, on the right side about an inch and half in diameter (she threw a brush). I used clear nail polish. If you have a big crack though, dont think that would be of any help.

Blue splotch appeared in lower right corner of the screen

I had a 52" Zenithe LCD with the same problems that you are discribing and since I work in the industry I have a relationship with a couple of authorized service centers. I took a digital picture and emailed it to both of them and both replies were that the light engine was going out and it would be cheaper to buy a new one than to fix this one. That is the bad news, here is the good news. LG/Zenith has lost a class action lawsuit regarding the light engines in the LCD rear projection TVs. The settelement includes extending the manufacturers warranty till 2010 and/or repayment of money paid to fix, calibrate or replace the TV.
