Yeah, i also had this problem with my dare. I did what was already posted, plugging and unplugging my headphones until i got the message about there being no microphone. The speakers and microphone on the phone works now. Hope it works for you =)
If you look in the bottom of the phone (where the charger plugs in) you will most likely see that at least 2 of the far right pins are bent over or bent to the side. This happened on my wifes phone. I found that if I took the data cable and plugged it into the phone on one end and nothing on the other, it would work. She is taking it to get a warranty replacement tomorrow.
When you plug the data cable in, you should here all of your normal sounds etc. It might trigger the voice command thing, but it usually only does it once.
The solution was that after the chat was cut off and my money was gone with no soultion I decided to buy a new phone rather than take the chance of loosing more money on the internet. Please refund the $15.00 you took from me . Thank you R.M
