I have the same problem as rg18. The TV will turn on and then randomly the picture goes black. It will stay off for 10 seconds or so, then turn back on and keep going through this cycle. The screen also gets lines through it freezes the image for a second before it goes off again. It will occur both with DVD player and Sat. When the screen is black, it will not turn of, it is frozen and there is no sound ether. Any ideas, I would be greatful.

Tv power cuts on power light lit no picture then Tv turns it self off, when picture appears there's waves in picture and tv turns itself back off and on with no picture just black scree

Hi Patty
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
If your TV, flatscreen, or monitor is more than 5 years old it is more like to have suffered a component failure.
Take it to a repair shop.

I have a DX-LCD32-09 LCD TV that is less than 2 years old. When you turn the TV on the sound is great but no pic. It is black. What could be the problem

More than likely it uses florescent bulbs for illumination. I first would try replacing the power supply for the bulbs

The loud pop was a faulty capacitor(s) arcing when threshold voltage is applied too it. Or send the board too my ahop and I will repair it for you. If this helps please rate....thank you:-)

You may have blown parts, look inside and inspect the power supply module and the back light inverter board, I will leave the TV unplugged.

I think you have a defective power board. the pop sound in coming from the board and giving you a low output voltage. do it yourself price about two hundred for parts.

yes, remove the back of the tv,on the power board you will see the problem.replace those capacitors on the power board.this will allow the set to work.the black bars may still be there.this is an indication of a bad panel.

No picture on Samsung LNS4051D HD TV.

Maybe the backlight is out, can you see a picture when shining a flashlight on the screen. if yes you have either a bad inverter power supply or bad screen (panel).

There is not much you can do to fix your plasma. Since the plasma is less then 1 year old, still under Samsung warranty.
I would suggest to call them to fix it.
Good luck.

50"lg plasma tv

The popping noise you heard it's probably a capacitor blowing up in the power supply circuitry. If the TV is less than one year old, still covered under manufacturers warranty.
Let me know if you need any more assistant let me know.
