Can I connect the usb port on the DVR-625 to a TV with a usb connection and get a better picture? ?

Hi Roy Yoerger!

You would not be able to use the USB connection on your receiver to get a better picture. To get the best picture on our Standard Definition receivers, I would recommend using Component (RCA) cables.

HOW DO I INSTAL A TOSHIBA EXTERNAL DVD RECORDER TO SAMSUNG SMT-190DN..

Hi,

If your are going to install the dvd recorder into your other device, follow this few steps.

  1. Place your external DVD Multi-Recorder drive in the stand. Otherwise, lay it down horizontally if you're not going to be using the stand.
  2. Turn on device.
  3. Plug one end of the USB cable into one of the dvr USB ports. Then connect the other end into the external DVD Multi-Recorder drive.
  4. Plug the power cord into the AC adapter. Then connect the cord into the drive's jack. Connect the other end into the power outlet.

Hope this helps

Dvr

It depends on the model of DVR you have. Some DVRs have USB ports that can be used to connect to one's computer, so theoretically you could also use an external hard drive. I haven't heard of anyone trying it, though.

Also, it is possible to link a DVR to a computer without the USB ports if you can find cable adapters for the inputs available on a computer.
