Hi, remote sensor is located behind the front screen, if the remote doesn`t work as well (you didn`t say so I`m assuming it doesn`t) then you either have bad tact switches on the control board (the buttons on the front of the set) or the 5 volt line to the control board is missing, video-tek

Hey guys my youview remote has stopped working, the talktalk button keeps flashing blue though

Test if your remote works by viewing it through a digital camera. (A phone camera works well.) View the front of the remote on the camera's digital display while holding down any of the buttons on the remote. If your remote is working you will see an RF light coming from the front of your remote. (You can only see this through the digital camera. The human eye cannot see the RF signal on its own.) If you don't see the RF try changing the batteries with known good batteries and try again. If you see the RF but your remote doesn't seem too work it needs to be reprogrammed.
Here are the steps for programming the remote to work with my Samsung TV and other brands.
1.) Turn the TV on.
2.) On the remote control hold down TV Power+01 at the same time. If the TV turns off the controller is programmed. If not, try TV Power+02, +03, +04, +05, +06, +07, +08, +09. Different TV BRAND??? ...TRY the codes listed for other TV brands located on the last page of this link.

Why has my AH59-02194A Samsung remote stop working my tv

Have you checked the batteries?

Has a button been pressed to allow it to control another device? (most newer remotes have the option of controlling other things like DVD players Ect. if your remote has a "TV" button, press that first then try to control your TV.)

to check your remote is still transmitting a signal, simply hold a digital camera or camera-phone in front of it.... if you see the light on the front flashing, it works. (you won\'t see the light with the naked eye, but a camera will see the infrared light)

Remote doesn't control on/off,volume or channels

Remote won't workThe most common reasons the remote won't work is that the batteries are dead or it hasn't been programmed properly. It's often easy to fix. Here are the steps to take to troubleshoot the problem.
Make sure you have a clear path between the remote and the infrared eye on your equipment. Clear any dust or debris that may be covering the eye.

Try unlocking the battery-saving mode. When a button is pressed for longer than three minutes, the remote goes into battery-saving mode. Press the SAT mode button at the top to unlock it. Your remote should work properly.

Check the batteries. When you press a mode button, does it light up? If not, you may be out of juice. Check to make sure they are in the right way, with the metal ends making good connections with the metal in the remote. If they're in correctly and you still don't get power, try replacing them. They may be dead.Learn about batteries

Check to make sure the remote is programmed properly, which basically means you reprogram it to work with your receiver, TV and any other components. Start with the receiver and work your way through programming each component that isn't working. We tell you how to program remotes in our guide to remotes.Learn about remotes

Still no go? You may have an internal problem with the remote. You'll have to talk to a Shaw Direct customer service representative. Call 1.888.554.7827.Be prepared to tell us:What components you have. All of the steps you've been through to try and solve the problem yourself. Can't change channels on receiverThis is almost always caused by a programming problem with the remote. Here are the steps to take to troubleshoot the problem.
Make sure you are in SAT mode. The receiver will only change channels when the remote is in the correct mode.Look for a timer. If you have a timer set, the receiver won't let you change channels. This ensures you don't miss recording a program with an external device. If a timer is set and you want to watch another channel, simply turn off the receiver and turn it back on.Learn about timers

Make sure the problem is with the remote and not the receiver. Try the buttons on the front of the receiver. Try to change channels. If your model doesn't have channel buttons, try to turn the machine off. If you can't change channels or power off, the problem is with the receiver. Try unplugging it for two minutes and plugging it in again.

If you can change the channels or power off, the problem is with the remote. Press any mode button on the remote. It should light up. If not, you probably have low batteries. They should be replaced.

Try unlocking the battery-saving mode. When a button is pressed for longer than three minutes, the remote goes into battery-saving mode. Click on any of the mode buttons at the top to unlock it. Your remote should work properly.

Try re-programming the remote to talk to your receiver.Find the manual for your remote control

Check to see if your Shaw Direct Receiver is using the same remote control address as your remote control. If you are using the DSR 319, HDDSR 505, or HDPVR 530 receiver press the Options button on the front panel of your Shaw Direct receiver. An options menu should appear on your screen. Using the direction keys on the front of your receiver navigate to 6 - System Setup and then press the Enter button on the front panel of the receiver. Using the same directional and Enter buttons go to 4 - System Setup. Then 3 - Installation Settings. Followed by 2 - Remote control Address. If you are using a legacy receiver such as the DSR 315, DSR 405, or any other receiver with front panel buttons, press the Options button on the front panel of your Shaw Direct receiver. An options menu should appear on your screen. Using the direction keys on the front of your receiver navigate OPTIONS and then press the Enter button on the front panel of the receiver. Using the same directional and Enter buttons go to 6 - Change System Settings. Then 3 - Change Installation Settings. Followed by 2 - Set Remote Control Address.Follow the on-screen instruction to reset the remote control address on your receiver and remote control.Check the back of your remote, if you own the IRC/URC 550 or RT-U50 remote controls you will need to enter the remote control address differently from what is displayed on screen. To program these remotes, hold the ENTER and MUTE button on your remote at the same time until the mode buttons at the top start to illuminate then enter the last three digits of the number displayed in "Current Address" column on the screen, then press the MUTE button to lock in the code. For example: If the remote address on the screen displays 0002, you would hold ENTER + MUTE until the mode button illuminated and then enter 0 0 2, followed by ENTER on your remote control. If you own the IRC 551 or URC 551 remote control you can follow the instruction depicted on the screen, but you must substitute the follows numbers in place those specified: 00869 for 0000, 01870 for 0001, 01871 for 0002, 01872 for 0003, 01873 for 0004, 01874 for 0005, 01875 for 0006, 01876 for 0008. For example: If the remote address on the screen displays 0003, you would hold the SAT button until it flashes, press 01872, then ENTER, to lock in the new code.Still no go? We have a red light flashing on the front of the tv.It shut off and we don't know how to turn it back on.

A red flahing light is sometimes a Standby Mode. Does the power button on the remote turn it on.Sometimes the remote has multi funtions and you need to select TV for it to work.Try using the Power Button on the TV.Good Luck.

My tv control doesn't work and i put new battery's in and that didn't work either

There's a quick test you can do to test the functionality of the remote to make sure it isn't the TV's IR sensor that's broken. To perform the test all you need is the remote and a digital camera (cell phone cam works too). Take the remote and look at the IR "eye" through the camera's screen. Don't actually take a picture simply use the camera as you would a magnifying glass. While looking at the IR eye press a few buttons on the remote. If the remote is working you should see light coming out of the remote. Our eyes cant see the IR light but the camera can. If the remote doesn't light up then the remote is at fault. You can replace your remote on many websites for somewhere in the 20 - 50 dollar range.

http://www.replacementremotes.com/

Here for example, you need to input your TV model number and it will tell you what remote you need with pictures. Then, once you are sure that is the remote you want, you can order right from the same website.

Hope that helps!

My Mitsubishi projection TV will not produce audio or video

Hi,
Two things are involved to cause that problem, tv remote control and remote sensor in tv.
Upon verification of remote working, it would be confirm that remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced.
Remote control sends infra red light signal to tv and we can not see that light with naked-eye, so need digital camera or cell phone camera to see it by watching remote front through camera, press any keys on remote, if you see infra red light is blinking in remote front that means remote is working and remote sensor in tv will be replaced.
If no light blinking on pressing remote buttons confirm that this remote is defective and buy new remote.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

My remote Stopped working with my TV but still works with DVD player. I have a new universal remote and it will not work as well, what part Do I need to replace?

You may want to try a “Hard Rest” by unplugging the power from the TV.
While the TV is without power, one at a time, push on each of the buttons on the TV & listen to hear them click (there may be a button stuck down).
After at least a few minutes have passed, plug the TV back in. Sometimes the TV may power on by itself and other times it will may not. If the TV did not power on by itself, push the button on the TV to power on the unit.
After the unit has power on wait about 30 seconds. Now point a known working remote at the TV and see if it is working correctly. You could test your LG remote on another LG TV at home, a neighbor’s house, and or at a store.
If the TV does respond by using the buttons on the TV but not with remote control, the problem could be with the following.
Remote Eye board and or the Main board.
I hope my information has helped you.
Good Luck.
