Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2 (e8503040) for PC
It could be 2 or 3 different things. First of all go into the security center in your control panel, and make sure that you have "automatic" checked, in the windows updates part of your security center. If it still won't take, you will get a message explaining why, go to Start, windows update, it should be right in the aplet that opens when you click on start. Also you have xp pro, I see, there is a service pack 3 that needs to be downloaded. If you get an error sending you to msft website, it may be a bootleg copy. Many times vendors will use the same serial number when they are smaller vendors like local computer stores. If you received a disk that was sealed and had a serial number on it then it was more than likelly legit. The webcam issue would have more to do with the program that you are using as you have to be in an application of some sort in order to see anything, check the app and make sure it's current. Without being able to get feedback from you I have to guess at certain things , if you can answer those questions, I can better assist you, thanks
