Question about Nintendo Rock Band for Wii

Rock Band 1 for nintendo wii can't get drums to sync

I bought RB1 drums, mic, and game from Ebay. Seller insists the game is fully functional and offered me a full refund, but I am intent on getting the drums to work. When I plug the drums into the USB 4 port hub and into the console the blue "band" light on the drums comes on and it appears the sync lights of player #3 come on as well. But when the game is loaded and started the drums do not register. None of the buttons work and I am unable to connect as player #3 in the game. The microphone works in all ports and is fully functional. It appears the drums are too, seeing as the lights come on, but they do not respond when the game starts. Is it possible that since I do not have the guitar the drums won't register because I am missing a player #3???? Is there anyway to get the RB1 drums to re-sync with my console and connect ??? Please help, I'd rather not have to return a perfectly good "looking" set of drums. Thanks.

Ok, so I tried this out along with several other things. Tried restarting the system roughly 30 times and only one of those times did I get a response from the drum set. I was able to start the game via the drum set and pick my song, but then as the song started the set went out again. I finally had the LED lights bright as player #2, but only briefly for about 1 minute tops. Does this mean I have a faulty drum set??? Is there anything I can do to maintain connectivity with the drumset / get the drum set to respond 100% of the time???

I hope this isn't too simplistic. Here are my suggestions, though. Try disconnecting everything from the console. Then, plug JUST the drums into the back of the Wii. When the game starts up, be sure to press the + key on the drumset, not the Wiimote. If that works, then just remember the following:
Red drum = "B" button (back)
Yellow drum = "Up"
Green drum = "Down" (both of these to select menu items)
Blue drum = "A" button (select)

Remember that once the game loads, don't use the wiimote. If you use the drums to navigate to solo play, you won't see the guitar. Same with the guitar.

If it works by itself, then try adding the hub, then the guitar receiver.

Good luck!

I'm sorry, but it looks like it could be a defective drumset machine. Try contacting EA through their website, www.ea.com for customer support.

Sorry it isn't working for you.

I have guitar hero rock band set and bought rock band. The guitar an drums are set up on wireless how do you sync them to work with this game?

look on the instruments for a red button. press this button at the same time you press the red button on the front of your wii console. this should sync the system to the controllers. (the guitar should already be synced since you plug the wii remote into it, but do it anyway)

I can't get Rockband 2 to work with the drums for 1 on the Wii

Rock Band 1 and 2 both have a maximum of 4 allowable inputs. If you have more than two Wiimotes activated at the time your game starts, it won't recognize all your other peripherals. It's also important to note that you should ALWAYS use the instrument you plan to jam with to navigate through the menu system (ie: Using the the drum pads and the + on the drumset to continue).

I have the full RB1 set up and had no problem using RB2 with the old set. If you need further assistance, please post a clarification or comment here.

Good luck!

Rock band guitar will not sync to wii

For me it was the white box that connects to the back of the wii. I tried everything from changing batteries in the guitar, to pressing white button on guitar, to restarting while holding white button down to screaming at the wii. Then I bought a new rockband guitar at best buy and the new guitar did not work until I swapped the white box (dongle?) that connects to the back of the Wii. One is for the drums and the other is for the guitars and mic. Hope this helps.
