This is an impedance crash in other words your signal in is no good (replace RCA jacks) or your signal out is no good check wires for proper connections and or continuity and replace wires as needed or correct wiring or phase.

Mpx8, when hitting pad once, it triggers sound twice. also one pad must be hit twice before it plays

With the MPX8 Sometimes when a pad is hit, it bounces and the sound is triggered twice. Other times the pad bounces but the second one is so light that you can't hear it, so it's as if it wasn't hit at all.
There is a settings menu that allows adjustment of the sensitivity of the pads which might help.
Hold Select- and Vol- while powering up.
use select buttons to go to 3: Pads
It'll say velocity so each can be adjusted, just tap pad to select.

I got to 12 they are about 400 watts each what would be a good amp to put on it to lift the subs

Hello jeremymikjha,

Basically you want to match the subs in impedance and power.

With 4 ohm subs wired in parallel, the final load will be 2 ohms. Depending on how hard you want them to hit, a pair of 400 watt RMS subs will need an amp that delivers 600-1,000 watts into a 2 ohm load.

The enclosure you use will also make a big difference. A sealed enclosure will need more power. A ported enclosure will be louder with less power.

The Hifonics shown here would be a good choice for a sealed enclosure. It's rated for 1,100 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load.

The Eclipse XA1200 outputs 600 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load. It would power the subs very well in a ported box.

Somewhat less expensive but good quality would be one of the Alpine MRP series. The MRP-M500 is only $179.99 at SonicElectronix. It delivers 500 watts. It's big brother is the MRP-M1000 with twice the power. Be sure your subs are securely mounted or this amp will literally "lift the subs".

Hope this helps.

My kenwood kac-929 1000w amplifier is not powering my sub

unless you are a technician do not mess with the amplifier.
it takes years of school to learn electronics. unless it is a blown fuse or something simple, you will never fix it.
i did kenwood warranty for 8 years and the amplifiers are difficult to repair.

Green light turns red on hard notes with kicker 750 mono amp

First off, never, ever replace a blown fuse with a bigger one (especially one that is almost twice as big) unless it's an absolute emergency. Most of the time, the reason a fuse blows is because of a problem with the device (in this case, the amp). By installing a larger fuse, there's a very good chance the problem will become permanent (i.e. busted amp).

The amp could be going into an overcurrent mode when the bass hits and power cycling itself to try and reset the problem. If this is the case, take it to a local electronics repair shop and see what they can do.

It's also possible the input voltage to the amp is dropping too low during the bass hit, making the amp restart. Try putting a 1.0F or higher capacitor on the battery to buffer the power during the bass hits.
