Your inlet tube that goes to the icemaker may be frozen. To Check: Shut off water supply to Fridge, disconnect thewater line that goes to the icemaker at top back. Use a flexible item to insert in the water line connection.I used a zip tie. If the flexible item won't all the throughto the ice maker, the line is frozen. Thaw out the tube from inside the freezer with a hair dryer. Re-connecteverything, you now have ice . . . Solution #2: You may have to replace your "Water InletValve" located at bottom right rear of Fridge.Easy to do, just follow the color codes, be sure and shut off the water.
The water line may be clogged with debris. there is sometimes a filter in the water line to the fridge, or also a screen filter may be located at the point where the water line connects to the fridge. If they are clogged, your ice maker will not make ice and may even burn out.
Check that the water in the line is flowing freely. Also it might be a good idea to defrost the freezer in case you have a ice buildup in the freezer compartment. To do that, empty the freezer and blow air into the freezer for 30 minutes while the power if off. Note, keep the other side closed to protect the milk and other perishables.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice
maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear
it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube
it will freeze. You can take the water
line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
check first if there is water coming in the ice maker.
check the water solenoid at the back of the fridge. check the water line if there is water coming to the solenoid. if you have filters installed, check the water coming out of the filter. it could be clogged.
