No Power I changed the bulb on my Optoma projector, now I am not getting any power to the unit what so ever. The unit was working fine before the bulb change.

Thanks for the advice. I have put the old bulb back in and still the same. No fan, no power, no lights to say it's powering up. I will talk to Optoma.

I've got the same issue, it's definitely the bulb. When I removed the old bulb it was shattered and glass fragments had spread throughout the unit. I have disassembled the unit, checked for other damage (visual inspection only) and removed all remaining glass.  Perhaps there is some sort or power reset or blown fuse or something?  Right now the unit appears to have no power.

The problem with the bulb cover interlock(safety switch) tab is that it is molded with the plastic cover. When these projectors are ceiling mounted upside down, the heat from the bulb melts the interlock tab and causes it not to actuate the interlock switch. No Power - 5e5b596.jpg If you push the switch arm in you can hear the switch click. The fix I did on my projector was to bend the switch arm so that it stays actuated. You can use a small set of needle nose pliers or two small screwdrivers. be careful to only bend the arm in the middle, if you break the arm from the switch, you will have to go in and bypass the switch.... Just be carefull...
After you bend the switch arm try to press it in, if you did it right you won't hear the click. install the lamp, cover, and your done.

With the bulb replacement cover off, look next to the bulb. You will see what I call a "Safety Switch". You might have to just push it in to get it to set until you put the cover back on. I have no idea why the cover doesn't push it in like it should.

Check the inside of the plastic cover for the lamp.. it has a tab on it that pushes on a lever ...this switch prevents the projector from turning on if the cover is off.. if the tab broke off or the lever is not engaging there will be no power to the projector...i tried to run my projector with the cover off and i had the same problem...then i noticed the tab and figured this is what it is for. cover off=no power

I had my optoma hd70 apart this evening checking it for dirt and when i put it back together i notice that there is a very sensitive interlock feature on the outside cover of the lamp compartment. Have you completely installed all the parts that you removed. Pay particular attention to the outside cover. By the way are having an issue where the bulb does out during use?

My Optoma TX780 projector is not working and all the indicators ie, Temp, Power and Lamp are on. I have changed the lamp though and it worked for a while then the lights came on and would not come on.

you need to reset the Bulb Hours in the on screen menu. it turns off because the bulb contains mercury and after a certain amount of hours the bulb will burst, spreading mercury every where. reset the bulb hours and it should stay on.

Blotchy colors on optoma hd80

i had, have the same problem i also replaced the bulb then shortly after the power went out no standby light or anything. From what i've read so far it seems like a power supply issue so i ordered two power supplys from optoma 1 for lamp 1 for the unit waiting on delivery from CA they were $ 99 each if this work i'll be one happy camper. Three years no problems it's a great machine with incredible picture using 106" screen

Optoma ep739 color was going greenish so i replced the bulb and now it seems to be getting no power at all? i tried several outlets and still no power, no flashing light, no led, nothing. Any suggestions?

These units have many safety interlocks. First make sure that all of the doors that you opened are replaced correctly. If not, the interlocks will prevent any power from getting to the unit. Update this with what you find.
