Hi There Your all-in-one printer is designed to stop printing before quality
is compromised. Make sure you always use KODAK Ink Cartridges. Kodak is
not responsible for the compatibility or performance of non-Kodak brand
ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. To purchase KODAK Ink
Cartridges, go to the KODAK Store.
To resolve the error, replace the black ink cartridge with a new cartridge:
Turn on your printer.
Open the access door. For printers with LCDs, follow the instructions on the LCD screen.
You got it right - the Kodak EasyShare 5300 All-in-One uses 10 series Kodak cartridges, and since your box says 10B+10C, it has (2) 10-series cartridges in it - one 10-series Black (10B), and one 10-series Color cartridge (the 10C).
The 10 Series Ink cartridges are compatible with: EasyShare 5000 series (your All-in-One belongs here) ESP 3/5/7/9 ESP 3200/5200/7200/9200 Series ESP Office 4100/6100
How do I install a new printhead in my all-in-one printer?
To replace the printhead in your all-in-one printer:
Make sure the printer is on.
Lift the printer access door and wait for the carriage to move to the access position.
NOTE: For ESP 3250 and ESP 5250 all-in-one printers:
On the printer control panel, press Home.
Select Maintenance, then press OK.
Select Install Ink Cartridges, then press OK. If "Install Ink Cartridges" is not an available selection, upgrade the firmware.
Remove any paper that may be loaded in the printer.
Remove the black and color ink cartridges and set them aside.
Remove the existing printhead:
For ESP Series Printers, unlatch the printhead by lifting the latch in the center of the carriage.
For 5000 Series Printers, unlatch the printhead by pressing the button in the upper-left corner of the carriage.
Lift the printhead out of the carriage.
Remove the new printhead from its bag.
CAUTION: Do not touch the copper contacts on the printhead, as this may damage it.
Remove the plastic protective shields.
Place the new printhead into the carriage.
Push firmly against the target label of the printhead until you hear a loud snap.
Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead and press down until you hear it click into place.
Insert the black ink cartridge into the printhead and press down until you hear it click into place.
Close the printer access door.
The printer detects the new printhead. Follow the instructions on the LCD to calibrate your printer. NOTE: ESP 3 all-in-one printers do not require calibration.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to use KODAK Ink Cartridges. Your KODAK All-in-One Printer is designed to work with KODAK Ink Cartridges. Kodak is not responsible for the compatibility or performance of either non-Kodak brand ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. You can purchase KODAK Ink Cartridges from the KODAK Store.
Is this a genuine ink? If not then try removing and inserting a few times. If this does not work then unplug printer, leave for a few minutes then plug in and turn on. Some non-genuine inks (and some genuine) just do not ever work though.
Did you use a genuine Kodak cartridge or compatible? Some compatibles will work but give the empty cartridge message. HP is famous for this. Another thing you can do is make sure that the electrical contacts on the print head are clean on both the print head and where it contacts the printer.
Kodak printer works
with genuine Kodak cartridges and that too brand new not refilled cartridges.
The brand new cartridges have a certain code that is recognised by the Printer.Kindly
buy genuine cartridges as the
printer may be damaged by Non comaptible cartridges.
