''No Cartridge'' Error

My HP 3055 has a ''No Cartridge'' error message, but there is a cartridge in the printer. How do I reset?

Check if the cartridge is a hp cartridge
if no use a hp cartridge
if issue stll occurs
open the cartridge door
remove the cartridge and the papers from the tray
close the cartridge door and turn off the printer
then turn on then printer
you will get a msg install black cartridge
open the cartridge door and put the cartridge inside and the papers in the tray and close the cartridge door
the printer will intiallize and you will get a ready msg on the display of the printer.
if you still get the msg have the printer serviced

Sometimes it is possible that the contacts on the cartridges get out of alignment , get dirty or damaged. if so there will not be any return signal to indicate the status of the cartridges. Also old and used ones may also tend to show bad results.
So ti will be good to remove and clean the cartridges, the contacts . Now after the printer is removed from the PC, un-install and reinstall printer driver on the PC so as to remove all the old errors.
Now connect the printer to the PC to be detected and installed.
The printer should reset now and show the ink levels to allow you to take a test print. If not you might have to try with an original new cartridge.

No cartridge error message


yes, if no cartridge into printer, device will appear error message, but if have cartridge into printer, printer still appear message, it most likely your cartridge problems

I was installing the yellow ink and then all the sudden after I installed it the message Error Oxc18a0301 appeared! How do I fix this?


Shut down your printer by pressing Simultaneously Cancel + OK + Black + Color.
Complete the steps below in the order presented to resolve the problem. It might not be necessary to complete all of the steps.
NOTE: The printer will not operate unless all six ink cartridges are installed. Also, HP cannot guarantee the quality of refilled or re manufactured ink cartridges. Step one: Reset the printer CAUTION: Do NOT perform any other type of reset on the printer before the ink initialization process has been completed.
  1. Without turning the power off, remove the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall socket.
  2. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cord to the printer and to the wall socket. Turn the unit on if it is not already turned on.
  3. Check the printer for the error message. If the error message still displays, go to the next step.
Step two: Clean the cartridge contacts

Is this a Hp cartridge or a cheaper brand?
I got this error myself too with cheaper cartridges.
You cal solvo this error by buying the original Hp cartridges

HP J8750 Cartridge error


I had this "Cartridge error" problem on my HP J5780 printer. Replaced the cartridge, but still got the same error. Then removed the cartridge and used a cotton swab with a little denatured alcohol, and gently and carefully cleaned the contacts in the printer. Followed this with a dry swab to be sure no alcohol left. Replaced the original cartridge, and have been using it for a week now with no more error message.

No print catridge error


Hi, is the cartridge NON genuine. If so, it may be damaged in such a way that the printer is not recognising the cartridge. Try putting your old cartridge back in and if the problem goes away then the problem is the cartridge and not the printer
