Question about Honeywell Programmable Thermostat Heater
A honeywell rth230b and the wires are labeled differently causing confusion. Does anyone know the functions for the Seco control tb1540e-g labels are R,W,Y,E,G
Rc/Rh should be from the transformer if a single transformer system. If its'a dual transformer system, then there should be a red wire to each from it's respective unit (furnace=Rh, condensor=Rc.).
W should be heat.
Y Should be cooling.
G should be fan.
I am not certain what E is, unless the stat can be used on a heat pump with backup electric heat, in which case it's for the electric heat.
The reason I say should be, is because if you are looking at wire colors, and not terminal designations, there is no guarantee the control wiring was connected following normal convention.
