Check simple things first, like did you forget to remove the plastic pull off tab on the new cartridge?
Remove and replace the cartridge, as it may not have seated properly. Also, go into the menu and look for "maintenance" or similar. It should provide you with an opportunity to both "clean cartridges" and align cartridges. Another solution may be just to turn off the printer and back on. Try those things, and if they don't work, post back here.

What printer does this cartridge go into?

Have you power cycled the printer? (Sometimes, when all else fails, reboot, and printers reboot, believe it or not.).

Reply back what you find.

Hi

Please try another cartridge and clean the contacts, did you refill the cartridge yourself?

Empty cartridge light keeps flashing

These cartridges don't have anything internally to check for new ink. They simply work on a basis of counting pages and page coverage to estimate ink levels. As such it is perfectly normal for your printer to warn of low ink once the cartridge has been refilled.

A low ink warning in itself should not stop your printer from printing though. If it does it is likely that the light is actually indicating a problem recognising the cartridge after refilling. I would recommend cleaning the copper contacts on the front of the cartridge and checking for any messages on the connected PC or laptop for more information.

If the red light is on constantly you may need to change another cartridge or reseat the new cartridge. Also try wiping the chip on the cartridge with a dry cloth.

Cartridge holder won't move when i press button to change ink

Hi, it's not ready for a replacement cartridge yet, the printer is only LOW on ink not OUT of ink. continue to use the printer until the flashing red light remains on solidly, then the head will move to the replace cartridge poswition when you press the button.

Inkjet refills

hi,

as you are using a refilled cartridge, it is causing this problem. the thickness of ink in a hp genuine cartridge and a refilled cartridge varies. and also the refilled cartridge may make your printer faulty. so it is good to try with a new hp genuine ink cartridges.

thanks and regards

DELL AIO 922- All in one- Printer won't print

Remove the right ink cartridge (color). You will get an error saying the cartridge is empty, but ignore that. Hit cancel on your printer. Print your job...when your print screen comes up, under preferences check the box for print colors in black and white. Your printer should print just fine without the color cartridge. Ignore the flashing red light.
