I have a new voice recording (40 minutes long) on my creative zen. I can listen to it on the creative itself. but when I hook it up to My Library (windows media player), the recording does not appear. I need to sync it onto my computer in order to transfer the voice recording to someone. I tried shutting everything down 2 times, hoping that it would upload it. But it is as if the recording never existed. This is urgent for work - I can't do the interview again! Thanks for your help. anouk
Re: can't upload voice recording from creative zen
Hi So I had that same issue but then i found the solution while playing with it. if you connect your zen to the computer, open up my computer and find the zen icon. click on it and go until you find the "my recordings" folder. click the folder and you should see all your recordings. right click the one you want to copy and click "copy". then open a folder in your computer and click "paste" and it works!

I had the same problem. I opened my zen V plus and noticed that the recording switch did not have the proper tactile feedback, which means the spring is somehow jammed and the contact blade can open or close the contact randomly. I scratched away the top half of the plastic casing (which was abnormally soft) and removed with a tweezer the tiny blade that closes the contact. I refit the whole thing back together and it works fine. Obviously the voice recording function is gone, but personally, I don't care...ht tactile feedback (spring not working properly. So I decided
all you have to do is go to all songs list....then you have to select a recording (most likely titled MEC(then some numbers) next hold the back arrow down for about three seconds and a little grey list should pop up....select delete song/recording. that's all you have to do.
i cant really offer a definitive solution. I just starting playing with my zen and finally figured out how to use the line in recording feature. I also realized that i needed an adapter to plug in the zen to my stereo; luckily my husband has two. I have read how to delete the recordings. I havent tried to use it as of yet; but if i have any trouble i will contact you back. thanks again, new to zen
