Question about Frigidaire Dryers
Hi i work for a 96 unit apartment complex and we are have some issues with our dryers the unit is a frigidaire stackable unit model number mlxe42rew2, we have people complaining that the units are not drying, the dryer duct has two 90 degree turns and has a length of about 15 feet, yearly i clean out the duct work with a brush. im not sure what else to do everything seems to be working corectly,,any suggestions????
The vent duct length's sound fine.
Have you confirmed that the heater element is working? You don't mention whether the unit get's hot.
If it get's hot, then suspect the thermostat, or the overtemp stat.
Also, be suspect that users are overloading the dryer.
Also make sure that you feel a strong blast of hot air discharging at the vent end, with the washer/dryer in place.
Check that the vent grills inside of the dryer are clear.
Reply back and I can help you further.
