Re: need to clean the trap and cant undo it
Assuming the filter is at the front of washer, you need to keep trying to pull it out,and then push it back in, wiggling it about at the same time, having unscrewed it anti- clockwise first..
Just keep on doing this, as there is probably something stuck in the filter, which is preventing it coming out.
The worst that can happen is you break the filter, so it might be a good idea to have a spare one handy, just in case.

Also the pump can be cleaned by undoing the tap at the bottom front of the washer. First make sure the drain tube has been pulled out to empty residual water in a container. Then unscrew the tap and filter to clear any dirt and items stuck in it.
has your machine got a filter that is exsessable if so you need to undo it and empty the water,( before the door will not open with water in the drum its a safety device if the filter is not on the front of your machine you will need to find it and clean
No , all new front loads have a self cleaning filter. Therefore nothing needs to be emptied or clean. The little trap door in front of the washer is to drain it in case of a power failure when the washer is full of water. .
YOU PROBABLY HAVE 'BITS' ACCUMALATED IN THE HOSE, WHERE IT JOINS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF YOUR SINK OUTLET.
SWITCH OFF DISHWASHER, UNDO THE BASE WHERE THE FILTERS ARE AND USE A CUP TO DRAIN OUT THE WATER IN TO A BOWL. THEN CLEAN ALL THE FILTER BITS IN HOT WATER. GO TO THE HOSE JOINING THE SINK TRAP AND UNDO THIS (SCREWDRIVER NEEDED TO UNDO THE BRASS CLIP). UNSCREW THE WHITE PLASTIC END JOINING THE 'U' BEND. LOOK IN THE END OF THE PLASTIC NOZZLE AND YOU SHOULD SEE FOOD DEBRIS IN THE HOSE. CLEAN ALL OF THIS OUT. AND REFIT TO UNDER SIDE OF SINK TRAP, DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE THE BLACK 'O' RING IS IN PROPERLY. MAKE SURE ALL THE FILTERS ARE IN PLACE INSIDE THE DISHWASHER AND PUT IT ON EMPTY, HOTTEST WASH CYCLE YOU HAVE. PREFERABLY WITH A DISHWASHER CLEANER IN IT. (NORMALLY DEBRIS IS : RICE, PASTA, AND EGG SHELLS, THESE ALL BLOCK THE TUBES AND BUILD UP OVERTIME. FOR SOME REASON THEY DO NOT BREAK DOWN AND PASS THROUGH. BEST THING TO DO IS TO MAKE SURE THE PLATES ETC ARE SCRAPED OFF PROPERLY BEFORE GOING IN THE DISHWASHER. I HAVE DONE THIS MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS, MAINLY DUE TO THE KIDS BEING LAZY, AND JUST PUTTING THE WHOLE PLATE INCLUDING LEFTOVERS STRAIGHT IN. HOPE THIS HELPS.
it is most likely your machine may have a draining problem. if it cant drain the water out the door wont open.
if you open the small door at the front bottom of the machine you will find the little black drain hose. unplug the hose off the door and drain machine. when the machine is empty try powering on and opening the door.
if still no luck you will see (in the same location) a red pull ring. undo the screw holding the ring in position and gently pull until the door releases.
it would be worth undoing the button trap lid to access the pump and check for any blockages (most common coins **** pins etc)
let me know how you get on.
the pump can be removed u need to pull the washer out tip it backwards and lean it against the worktop bend down and look undo the washer u will see some 8ml screws to undo once undone u can push backwards and twist the pump out you need to undo the pipes aswell
