Mesh computer tamper warning

I have just been given a mesh computer. When you switch it on the Bios halts with a warning that the case has been tampered with. There is a small switch on the case cover but the wire doesnt connect to anything on the Motherboard. Does this go to a power connector I wonder or somewhere else on the motherboard which is Athlon socket A.I've entered the bios and changed "halt on" errors to none
Can anyone help

There is a case intrusion wire that connects from the case to the mobo either you find it or disable it in your bios.you can also go to the website to find the connection,I have a whole drawer full of those wires.which should tell you how important case iintrusion is,just dissable it in your bios, unless you have a mobo bandit in the house

Do you have the door on your computer case off? Just put it back on or go through your BIOS and find "halt on chassis intrusion" or something of that nature.

The problem of my computer is when i open my computer its not boot to windows it shows chassis intruded fatal error-system halted! what can i do to solve that problem? my board is asus p5sd2-vm.

chasis intrusion is an option in the bios, when U start the pc, press dell to go into the bios, walk trhough the settings ( I think it will be in a section advanced or security) where U can switch off intrusion.

Did U open the case recently?

Chassis intruded ! fatal error...system halted

Your computer BIOS should have an option to turn this off.
Or you can probably place a jumper on the mother board so the "tamper switch" is always closed.

Consult your motherboard manual for more info.

How to fix chassis intruded ..fatal error..system halted...is it my cpu become damage?

It is unlikely that your CPU is damaged

You need to enter the BIOS and turn off chassis intrusion.

It is an option in the bios that is only useful if you have the switch on the computer case that supports it otherwise it will give you the error you see if enabled

Pc halted

very simple shut down computer put side panel back on and restart go into bios and under the settings somewhere you will see enable chassis intrusion. Just disable that. If you put cover back on then proceeded by turning power on and you still get this error than it is time to clear CMOS and then you must go into the bios and hit setup default and then go into any timings and voltage settings for CPU Memory and such. and also disable the chassis intrusion. You can enable it at anytime. just as long it is not powered up when removing side panel. I hope this is helpful.

Aopen ax34 tamper alarm--how to reset????

I don't think that board actually has a tamper alarm in the bios, password security yes but I saw no mention of a tamper alarm. Besides, a tamper alarm won't stop the pc from booting, it just lets you know that the case has been opened....sorry. I think you likely have a mainboard/ram issue.

First thing is to clear the bios. Here's how. Right beside the floppy connector, there is a jumper labeled 'JP14'. Please do the following

  1. Turn off the pc and remove the ac power cord.
  2. Remove the atx power connector from the mainboard (from power supply).
  3. Locate jp14 and move the jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pins 2 and 3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Put jp14 back to pins 1 and 2
  5. Reconnect the atx power connector.
Or you can just unplug it from the waal and remove the bios battery for an hour.
sa code
Try to fire it up again. If it still won't boot, then let me know the number of beeps it makes and the pattern to the beeps ie: one long beep then another long beep or 1 long beep then 2 short ones. These beep are actually telling you what the problem is.

Hope this helps! Post a comment and let me know how you make out.
