It could be that the 2265R is a refurbished model. Then the manual for the 2265 garage door opener will give you the the correct manual.
In my experience, when the garage door goes down partway and then reverses completely, the problem is something breaking the light beam between the safety sensors. This can be a piece of grass or the shadow from the door when one or both sensors are getting full sun. If the problem is some weed getting pushed into the sensor range, simply cut the nearby grass shorter. To check if the problem is a shadow, try getting a couple of people to stand near (but outside) of the garage door. They should be positioned to cast a shadow on the sensors. If the door closes properly when the button is pressed, then the solution is to wait for a slightly different sun position to close the door or to continue to hold the button on the wall panel.
I actually took a 06 Commander in last week with the same problem. We checked the windshield carefully, and then drivers door moldings and then blew out the drains for the sun roof.
It still leaked down through the drivers' side drain line area of the sun roof, around the window moulding, and dripped right in the vicintiy of the rear of the radio.
We finally found the problem by dropping the head liner down and using an inspection mirror with a flash light. We disconnected the drain line and plugged the nipple opening and poured a small amount of water into the sun roof pan and located a hole in the drain pan just above where the nipple is formed for the drivers' side sun roof drain line.
We could not see the actual leak source without the mirror and flashlight, as it was on the interior side seam facing away from the drivers' door opening.
Since carefully sealing the drain pan seam just a 1/4 above the drain hose nipple on the interior side, slightly above where the drain hose connects, the problem appears to be solved.
It appears to be a manufacturing defect in the plastic seam in my opinion. Could just be a faulty radio if your car doesn't have a sunroof, or a leaking windshield gasket.
Hi. I was having trouble with my sun roof on a 2004 Montecarlo. I had two issues water coming in and would not operate fully. I could toggle the switch and it would not move very far. this is what I found. I started to pull down the lining and saw that the motor was in front of the sun roof. I found the drain lines on the front side corners of the tray around the inside of the sun roof. I found that the tube ran down the pillar's and out between the door hinge's. I took them off and blow them out one was plugged up. That fixed the water problem. The roof would move with help from me pushing. I got it opened and noticed the grease was hard. I cleaned up the grease and removed most of it with WD40. Now the sun roof works good as new. I thought the water problem was because the roof was not fully closed but I guess it is designed to have water pass by the roof seal and have it drain away. I always noticed water under the car after a rain or a car wash but did not realize iit was the sun roof draining.
Lets make sure you are programming it correctly, make sure the battery is new. Press and release the learn button on the motor. Within 30 seconds enter in the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. The light bulb should flash once. If you can't get it to code in this way you will need to replace the keypad. Thanks BB
