I understand that you have downgraded the operating system from windows Vista to Windows XP and you require the drivers for Webcam and Video drivers.

For the Webcam driver for Windows XP for Dv9205us model please go to..

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp35001-35500/sp35414.exe

for more information go to this page.

Hp dv9205 wireless switch went out dont work what can I do

Depending on what operating system you have you can manually enable your wireless..

Google xp, vista, or windows 7 and add to it..enable wireless and you will get the instructions to enable the wireless without the switch.

Try it like this if you have xp

" Windows xp enable wireless "

Its a problem got to do with the lighting on computer. Suggest that you take it to a technican. You may have to buy another screen. Google search and see the price ranges to get a clear picture of how much you need to pay for it

Can i install XP on a preinstalled vista OS on Compaq presario c700, and can i get the drivers i need?

You can install XP over Vista if you want. You should be able to get the drivers as well. I believe the instructions for this (if you need them) can be found at HP (Compaq).

Be very certain this is what you want to do before you start. Are you having trouble with your present configuration? It may be easier to fix your trouble than change your OS.

You may want to go to www.pcpitstop.com and have your computer scanned for problems before you start. This is a free service. If you go ahead with the install, go back to PC Pitstop and have it scanned.

Downgrade vista home basic to windows xp Pro.

Look up your laptop on HPs website. Confirm that there are XP drivers for your laptop before doing this. It is POSSIBLE to downgrade, but prepare to become one with Google. If HP has no XP drivers, then youll have to manually search for the drivers. If you have to go hunting, use a program called Everest to identify your hardware. In some cases the Vista driver will work for XP (you may have to force install). Good luck.

Downgrade

Hi, The XP drivers for your laptop are available at the HP site http://www.hp.com/. Click on "Software & Driver Downloads" leftside near the bottom, enter your product "Pavilion dv9205us", click on "Microsoft Windows XP". May I suggest that you download them now even if still running vista and then burn to a CD or copy to a flashdrive. That way when you have downgraded to XP, the drivers are readily available. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
