The ceramic insert cracked, how much would it cost to replace?

It is a six qt. West Bend slow cooker.

    Model 84406 I have a bad crack in my cerramic insert. What can I do ? Can I buy another insert?

NO, these stoneware inserts are not meant for the high dry heat of conventional ovens. It will crack in the oven...use only in the crockpot!

Is it possible to use the ceramic insert in a conventional oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes?


ceramic is some thing made out of stone,,,,,like a plate? so you should check to see if its heat proof first if it is then it will be ok at 1000 of degrees,,,

I need a replacement lid for West Bend 6 qt. slow cooker #84696


Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.

west bend has been out of the small appliance biz for a long while so the only place you may find a crock is in some thirft shops
