How to fix dirty copy in np7250

You better upload an image, because there are many kinds of "dirty copy". Also you'll need to check the counters to see if is not the time to replace Developer Unit or Fixing Unit. Check the surface of the Pressure Roller and Heater Roller in the Fixing Unit., also check the surface of Developer Roller if the are scratches or other kind of damage on them. In some cases you need only to clean the printer inside with vacuum cleaner. Be careful not to produce any damage to the printer components. Do not touch Drum surface or Developer roller.

How do i clean printer head on cannoni560s

I assume you've done the clean/deep clean routine.

First, check that dirty heads are actually the problem and not bad contacts at the back of the print head carrier. Remove the ink tanks (keep them upright on a piece of plastic or a paper towel) and then flip up the grey carrier retainer. The print head carrier will lift out easily. Take care - don't damage the print heads - they're very fragile!

At the back of the carrier you'll see a series of gold contacts. Clean them carefully with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Now look at the pint heads themselves. If there's dry, gunky ink on them they will need cleaning. The simplest way is to stand them in a saucer of Windex glass cleaner overnight, then rub them gently with a soft cloth or paper towel. I'm recommending Windex only because I know it works. Other products might be just as good but I don't know.

Now put the print head right-way-up on a clean paper towel and drip a drop or two of alcohol onto each of the four round metal contact plates that sit under the ink tanks. After a minute or two you should see a colored pattern on the paper - black, blue, red and yellow, corresponding to the shape of the print heads. This means that the print heads will pass ink through from the tanks and further cleaning shouldn't be necessary.

Now reinstall the print heads and replace the ink tanks. Do a deep clean to get the ink flowing again, and run a test print. It'll probably be okay. If not, leave the printer to sit for 12-24 hours then try again.

If you don't get a good test pattern, especially after a couple more cleanings, you probably have a damaged print head. You'll have to replace it. If you're lucky, you'll find one on the web that costs you less than you paid for the printer.

If the printer refuses to print at all, you have other problems, most likely a full waste tank or, worst case, a blown circuit board. You're facing a trip to your local repair center.

The i560 is a fabulous printer (which is probably why Canon discontinued it). It's worth spending some money to keep it going.

Whenever we are buying any new printer, the printer driver cd will be given by the vendor to install the printer in the Laptop or Desltop.

In this incident, the printer software might have been removed fully without knowing this issue.

The best things is either approach the Local Printer dealer to get the Printer Driver cd and install the same in the machine.

Or it can be donwloaded from the Net, but it will consume more time.

Best solution is approach the local printer engineer who will be having the Driver CD with him to install the same in the machine.

One more request is make the printer, desktop or laptop should be in some annual maintenance contact with local authorized vendor. In this case, if it is under Annual Maintenance Contract, the Vendor should have installed the printer within a short span of time.

Produce a dirty copies

Sound like the machine needs a service, The Optics should be cleaned, and adjusted, machine cavity vacuumed out, rollers and belts cleaned, paper feed and fuser rollers inspected. drum and developer checked. Etc, Etc. Once this is done, the copies should be as good as new.

If you need more information, please contact us.

Hope this is of some help.

Dirty printout and paper jams

Hi Hazel,

Sounds like it needs a maintenance kit. This will include a fuser, which should resolve the problem of the repeated horizontal lines and ghosted words. It will also cause more frequent paper jams when it needs maintenance.

A manual for installing a maintenance kit can be found online but sometimes will come with the kit. Google it anyway as it will give you an idea of the work involved.

Hope this helps!
