the iphone 3g bluetooth is at present for headsets/handsfree devices only and cannot link/pair with anything else (phones/pc etc) it has been deliberately crippled to force file transfer etc to be done exclusively through itunes or formate

What do you mean by won't find bluetooth? some bluetooth headset doesn't work with iPhone make sure your headset support iPhone ! or iPhone support that headset. If you have iPhone 3G try to use iBluetooth (download free on Cydia) to send and receive files with other phone brands. Good luck n hope this help ;)
You can't send and receive files with the iPhone's bluetooth. Version 3 of their firmware will supposedly provide this functionality, but only on the iPhone 3G. (2G models don't have the necessary hardware)
As for the hands-free car setup, that should work just fine. It's a matter of pairing the two devices together.
Hi! The bluetooth feature on the iPhone is currently limited by Apple to the headset profile and will only function with bluetooth headsets. File transfers, object push (which are the BT profiles exploited by bluejacking) are not activated.
It is not visible to other devices so you dont have to worry. :-)
