SOURCE: No Sound

Seems the person didn't do such a great job at it. The drivers must be missing, they are available at the laptop makers website, If you send me the brand and model of the laptop I can see if I can find them for you

SOURCE: Can'nt Play Audio or Video files hello, i get all my via drivers from the via arena.(for all that is made by via) i looked up your motherboard, and came up with this, via vt8233 is your chipset- audio-lan-video-chipset driver for that should do all the drivers. first the 4 in one via driver is for the chipset, then the audio-video and any others that are onboard.even if they work-these drivers are newer than the one xp has built in the install cd. so, good luck! if you need further assistance-reply. you wil be ok.please rate this solution. thank you

Audio problem on toshiba dynabook 2550S

Have you tried reinstalling your drivers? Try connecting some external speakers to the headphone jack and see if it works? If it does the speakers on the laptop are gone, if not the sound card is indeed not working. Do you have a speaker icon in your system tray by the clock?
