Question about Samsung CLP-300N Laser Printer

Samsung CPL-300N heat problem.

Hi,

I saw that you commented a post regarding this issue.
I have 2 Samsung CPL-300N. One is burning hot on top even when not used. It also makes some clonking sounds when printing. Im pretty sure its not supposed to be this hot because the other isnt.

Any idea what it could be? The printer is less than a year old so the warrenty is valid.

Regards,
Fredrik Sjödin

It is probably the imaging unit was not set right take it out and replace it has to sit in the tracks or it will make the clonking sound, it takes practice and probably will get you frustrated but it can be done. the imaging unit is the whole unit that holds the toners, waste toner tank

Dryer doesn't get hot enough to dry clothes

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing that should be checked is the Thermal fuse which is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover. If this fuse goes bad the dryer will not heat and you’ll have to replace it as it cannot be repaired. If this I fine then you’ll need to check the thermostat, igniter and coils. Also as its only 3 months old so it is recommended to use the warranty to avoid any further issues. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Kenmore ultra self cleaning oven or top heat

I found that the 220 plug had burned out, that was where the smoke came from. The display worked because the ground "prong" was the only one burned. Had to replace the electrical 220 socked and the electrical plug on the oven.

Printer says printing but does not print

This post regarding the CLP-300/AirPort problem appeared on the Mac forums in June:

"This is not a known issue. The reason for you to face this particular issue is that these are both 2 GDI printers. Both these printers are designed to be DIRECTLY connected to a PC or MAC. They are not designed to be connected to any type of Printer Server, Airport Extreme Base Station or Powered/Unpowered USB Hub.

If the printers are to be used over a N/W environment then you may need either CLP-300N or any other N/W capable printing device. The other option would have been to use any device that is PCL or Post Script capable. These are not host based would have been better to suited this type of environment. Even though the previously mentioned methods of connections are still not recommended they would have been better suit as they are not host reliant drivers.

As to getting a refund it would highly unlikely as it is not a fault with the printer or drivers only as mentioned they are both designed with the intention of being DIRECTLY connected."

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

How can I change the advance setting for the true type options

Hi Saltysan.
You might gain access to thoes setting by downloading the latest drivers posted, 2-25-2008 from Samsung for
Win 2000-XP-2003. You can save toner when printing in all black by changing to Grayscale & you may save color by turning off color matching.
Try out the newer driver software. Samsung did not mention what the new drivers will do for the 300N.

Let me know if the drivers give you access to the advanced settings!
Good day.
