Hello you just have to download the graphic driver here:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+845+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D845GVSR

Scrool down to the bottom of the page, and click on the link for the graphic driver.
And click on download.

You have to reboot, after the install is done.

Good luck

I hv an IBM rev 1.2 and it is diplaying only 4bit color and limited to 640 x 480 graphics resolution This ahppened after I formatted the HDD and reinstalled windows.HELP

Did you re-install from the IBM "System Restore" CD-ROM disks, or did you re-install from a "generic" Windows CD-ROM?

If the former, then the IBM disks should have installed the correct device-drivers for the IBM video-adapter.

If the latter, then you need to access IBM's web-site, select your IBM model, and select your Operating System, and download/install the device-drivers for the video-adapter that is specific to the particular model that you own.

After 4mat bcome 4bit display

after formating, your pc/laptop need to be install with "driver". Driver is a software in a cd which come along when you buy the computer. iif you have the cd insert the cd and install all the application given. normally when you insert the cd the application will automatically start and you will see it appear on your screen. click the application and it will install automatically.

if you already done that, right click anywhere on your screen and select properties, a panel will open. on the top you will see desktop, theme, appearance, screen saver and setting. select setting and you will notice a drop down menu and select 32 bit.

if it still didnt work your computer might have "graphic card". it also will have its own cd when you purchase it. same method, insert the cd and follow the instruction. if you have no cd please identify your pc/notebook model and post it here.

Display setting 4bit

If you do not have the specific driver for your video card, Windows will use a generic video driver that only allows 4-bit resolution.

The best place to download drivers is the manufacturer's website. The Intel website for this motherboard is here:)

Select your OS and look for the Intel® Extreme Graphics Driver for 845 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards
