Try changing your memory, or try replacing them to see if they are defective. If this does not work. try replacing your powersupply..

I have a Toshiba T6400- and when I boot up and try to go to programs or open files it freezes

On bootup your computer is trying to start an application that is probably causing this problem.
Click Start. type msconfig hit enter.
Click the start-up tab. That tab will list all programs that run on bootup of your computer.
You can untick programs that you do not require on startup. Click OK and restart your PC.

"Restart the computer, once you see the "Prompt Screen" to Press F2 or Press F12, quickly "Tap! the [DEL]key, located at the top [Right]next to the Scroll Lock, and END keys." You will know if you done it correctly, when you see the {Windows Boot Manager} Heading on the screen; at the bottom of the screen, it will read "Recovery Environment." Note: The wording may differ depending on the type & model computer you have. Now, there will be a long list of "Options" to choose from, select the option that best describes; Try each to fix the problem: Startup Repair, "Repair My Computer, and System Restore; or next time, "Press the [F8] button the next time you "Bootup" and choose the more {Advanced Options} select whatt best decribes; " In the [Systems Recovery] windows, "Configure Last Known Good Boot!" Follow all the instructions, and I hope all goes well. "I would appreciate if you could find the time to give a "Helpful Rating, its my only reward," knowing I could be of assistance! Computer freezes after bios screen on every restart.

One thing you could check is what order your computer is booting from. CD drive hard drive then other. Should be hard drive first. Go into the bios to do that. If you hold the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds the machine should physically shut down rather than unplugg. The unplug thing sounds like its in the power settings. But I've never heard of power settings being connected to bootup except for a password. Anyway a wild guess is check the bios bootup order.

Windows file is corrupted and can not boot up computer

Hardrive is most likely faulty or your memory sticks are bad or not completely inserted. If you are able to turn on pc, press f2 or f8 as soon as it boots, then insert bios mode, change bootup settings for CD-ROM as first bootup device, then Hard Disc as second bootup device, then insert your windows installation disc or recovery cd, insert it, restart pc and run the disc to install windows.

Unable to get pas message at bootup

I am sorry to say but seems like your system perhaps the Windows system files got corrupted. Boot your computer up to the Windows CD and run a repair. If this does not do it, you will have to reinstall Windows again.

How to hide or eliminate boot selection on Acer Veriton s460...there wasn't any security selection in the computer BIOS?? thanks

Login to window,,

Go to start --> Run --> type there msconfig

this will open a window, now inthat go to Boot Tab

And check if the two option given, if you have multiboot operating system (Viz Win 2000 and other one Win Xp)

Then it will show you each time during bootup (you can only setup one as default)

You also can setup the time for it to take in bootup.

Let me know if you need further help
