My PC (Windows XP) refuses my N70 phone now.

When I connect my N70 (Music Edition) to my PC, I always get the message, "A problem occured during hardware installation. your hardware might not properly". Then when I click on the ballon, it says the error "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". My N70 works with other PCs without a problem. Plz help.....

    Yes. It's running Windows Xp. But when I connect to other Pcs which have Windows XP, N70 works without a problem... Then how can I think my drivers are corrupted? I think there may be a hardware conflict.. Because my PC got a New mother board that has 2 RAMs. Earlier I had a mother board that has only one RAM. And I got a new CD ROM too. Can these things affect my problem? Plz help... I'm so hopeless..

Are your other PCs running Windows XP?
The N70 installation on your XP computer did not install properly, it may need a software/drivers for Windows XP.
The driver may be corrupted, download the drivers from the manufacturer's WEB site. there may be a later version.
There may be a hardware conflict, eg. IRQ, memory address etc.

    The problem is with the installation of the drivers/program, your new CD may have trouble reading the CD, the CD disk may be slightly damaged. Download a fresh copy of the N70 drivers/program from the manufacturer's WEB site and intall it on your new computer. If you don't get an install error message then it should work.

Normal Reset (*#7780#) : Restores ini files from rom but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)

Deep Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.

I tried to format it but it doesn't work. I even connected it to PC but PC doesn't recognise the card. Hope this is clear. Please help!!

You need to download the latest Nokia PC Suite, from the Nokia website of your area to do an update of the software (firmware) on your phone.
http://europe.nokia.com/A4144905
Before updating software you should check that there’s a newer version of software available.
http://europe.nokia.com/A4176089
WARNING
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don’t unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you’re up the creek without a paddle...

I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
