Try unplugging the receiver from your electrical outlet for 10 seconds and plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and re-acquire the satellite signal. After this, you should get your picture back. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: I HAVE A 22 INCH ELEMENT FLAT SCREEN. WHEN I TURN
Hello,
Turning on then off quickly like this is usually a bad sign for the TV. Try disconnecting all inputs, moving it to a different room and plugging it in. If it powers up and stays on, the TV is not the issue, return it to it's normal location and power it up with nothing but power connected, if it still works slowy start adding the inputs you had connected before until one causes it to shut off.
Follow that input wire back, which ever device is attached has actually caused the problem and should be repaired or replaced. If the TV works in another room but powers on and off with only power connected when back in it's usual location then remove all plugins except the TV from the wall outlet or surge bar the TV is plugged into and test again. If this still causes the TV to turn off after 2 seconds call an electrician, if the TV works this way start plugging the other devices back in one at a time until one of them causes it to power off. If this is the case it's likely a 2 pronged device, like a phone charger is at fault and should be moved elsewhere in the home.
If none of this testing gets the unit to power up, it's likely the main power board inside has failed, if this is the case I would recommend replacing the TV as the currently retail for less than $250 for the 1080p models. Repair would likely cost between $160-$200 and you would have little or no warranty depending on the repair centers policy.
Hope this helps FixYa,
Chris

SOURCE: 19' flat screen TV slow
Hello
You haven't specified the Brand or Model number of your flat panel tv. Yet I'm answering to this enquiry, assuming that yours' is an ordinary 19" flat screen TV.
For most the TVs, this fault will be due to the base socket of the picure tube. You can locate this socket at the picture tube base card, directly soldered to it. This socket is otherwise commercially known as picture tube base. It connects the picture tube pins to the rest of the circuit, and can be detached from the base of the picture tube by a light backward pull.
You just open your TV and pull out the base card from the picture tube neck. Care should be taken not to shake the board sideways or up and down movement, as this may damage the pins of the picture tube, or can cause a crack in picture tube neck. The neck of the picture tube is very thin, relateve to other part of it, and have a chance to break easly. So be very carefull when detach the board out of it.
Resolder the base socket out of it, detach the Focus wire attached, in some cases, there will be an other wire too, screen voltage wire. Go for a same type and pin confuguration. You can select whichever companys product; provided the pin confuguration. The material used to manufacture it is very important. It should be of good quality; otherwise the fault will occur within a short period of time again.

One of 2 things happened here. Either your T-con board is defective and needs changed, or your Panel is defective and you need a new TV.

Hi b52woodward, First make sure that the sound is not in "mute" mode. Plug your headset to the earphone
jack (if installed)of the TV. If you can hear the sound there, the fault may due to
open(defective) internal
speakers or the earphone jack itself. Faulty internal speaker
may replaced with new sets to back your sound to normal again. If
the earphone jack was faulty, you may spray it first with electrical contact cleaner while inserting and pulling the headset plug into it for one
minute to clean the contact. If nothing happens, this
jack need to replaced with new one. If you can't hear the sound after inserting your headset, this is
an indication that the audio
circuitry was gone bad. The
most common caused of this trouble was the faulty sound IC(mounted in heatsink).
This is the one converts the audio signal to sound and feed to
your speaker's. If you're not handy with electronics, I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to isolate the symptoms. Also check if your unit is under warranty/extended warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free, don't attempt to open the back cover because it will void the warranty. Hope I helped you. Have a nice day! Thanks for using Fixya.
