Garmin GPSMAP 60CS displays wrong date

My GPSMAP 60CS displays the wrong date. I tried a GPS reset and the date went back to 18-08-28. I allowed the GPS to aquire a full almanac with continuous satellite coverage for 10 hours. 21 days have passed and the date has advanced to 08-09-28! The time is accurate to within 10s. I've reloaded the latest software to no avail other than the date goes back to 18-08-28!

My date and time is wrong on my gpsmap 60csx. how can i adjust it? I just did an update

The 60CS does not have a way to set the date and time manually- it finds both from the satellites as soon as it receives them.

The time zone can be set in:
- Main menu
- Marine setup
- Time Setup then TimeZone

Have a Garmin gpsmap 60 cs unit that needs repair, but Garmin doesn't cover this unit anymore. Who does repair this model?

Garmin will make out-of-warranty repairs to your unit, but the labour rate is SPENDY! ($110/hr)

Welcome to the age of disposable electronics.

Sorry I couldn't have been the bearer of better news.
Good Luck!

The GPSmap 60CSx will not acquire a satellite signal even in open water with clear skies on Lake Michigan.

I suggest trying a external antenna. This will let you know if the internal antenna connector is broken. You can also do a system reset. Back up all user data first then;

Power the unit on while holding down the Page and Enter buttons. Hold them down until you get a prompt that asks you if you want to RESET. Select yes and lets hope that works. Also doing a update may fix the unit also. To update just use the free program WebUpdater found on Garmins website. For assistance please feel free to contact GPSCity the gps experts

It has just been refurbished!!!!! Now when I try to turn it on the screen flickers once every second!!!

Get it straight back to Garmin. Personally I would look for a replacement as most Garmin software returns we get back in the shop end up being returned time and again until the customers get fed up and demand a new one..

GPSmap 60Csx power up problems

I had the problem where I ended up disassembling the Garmin and adding a small piece of plastic to the on/off button. For some reason the push button on the top does not reach the one on the circuit board.
