PLink allows for command link execution passing a username, password and host.
To get the response to a file you could use Shell "C:\windows\cmd.exe /c batch.bat > C:\file.txt"
Batch.bat contains your plink script and file.txt is the output.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Where is the password located at

Hey, the Netopia routers do not have a default username and password. If a password is already set up, you might need to reset the router.

In order to log into the router you need to Telnet into it.
If you are using Windows XP, you can start Telnet from Start>Accessories>Communications>Telnet

if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, Telnet is not enabled by default. You need to enable it first. You can quickly re-enable Telnet by following these steps:

Start
Control Panel
Programs And Features
Turn Windows features on or off
Check Telnet Client
Hit OK

After that you can start Telnet via Command Prompt. (or the Start menu)

then once you get into the Telnet Console, type in:
192.168.1.1

and the router interface will open up and let you chanfge settings.

Hi,
You can try to access the router using the ipaddress:
1. go to the command prompt. 2. type in ipconfig. 3. look for the default gateway. 4. open your browser and type in the default gateway. 5. username is "username" password is "password"

Thanks

Comtrend adsl2+ keeps timeing out

Hello, To prevent this happening, you need to disable the block list. Use the following steps:

  • Open a DOS prompt (start->run and type in cmd)
  • Type the following:
    • telnet 192.168.2.1
    • Username = admin
    • Password = password set to access the router config

Once you access the router config, type the following in:
  • firewall set IDS blacklist disable
  • Close the window.

You should now find that you can access the sites that were timing out.

Connection is asking for network security pin

Hi,

Network Security pin is the WEP or WPA provided by your service provider, while configuring the Router. Please follow the below steps to get the WEP key.

1. Click Start -> Run -> type "cmd". Click OK. Command prompt screen will popup.
2. In the command prompt type "ipconfig" hit Enter.
3. Please make note of default gateway address (Eg. 192.168.1.1)
4. Open internet browser and type http://<default gateway address> (Eg. http://192.168.1.1)
5. You will be prompted to enter Router login Username and Password. (provided by service provider). Enter the username and password.
6. You will see the Router configuration page, then select the Wireless Tab; there you will see WEP / WPA key.

Thanks n Regards
Rizwan

To run a DOS command without showing output to the user

You cannot execute a dos window withou atleast having it appear in the task bar as a running program in Windows. You can however start it minimized using a batch file and starting with the command:

START /MINIMIZED /WAIT COMMAND.COM

Depending on what you are trying to do you might want to look into VB scripting or WHS as an alternative to using CMD to parse commands.

Lanier ld122 503 service unavailable

This can occur if the Web services has been turned off in either the Web Image Monitor or from a telnet command for this device.
To check the status of these services you will need to telnet into the device.

1. From a command prompt type : telnet then the IP Address of the device

2. Telnet will respond back with a request for a login and then a password. Enter the login and password. The login and password used for Telnet are the same credentials that are used to log into the device’s Web Image Monitor (WIM).

3. Type in show at the msh> command prompt.
This will output many lines of information. The information you are concerned with is under the TCP/IP-Mode heading. You may need to scroll up in the command prompt window to see these services. The device’s services will be shown followed by their status. The ‘show’ command will show if the services are enabled (UP) or Disabled (Down).

4. If Web shows a down status, at the command prompt msh> type in set web up.

5. At the command prompt msh> type in logout

6. To make your changes Active you must type yes when prompted to "save configuration data"

Note: Always check with your system administrator before making any changes on a network device.

Computer

On the controlled pc you must open administrative tools - services and make sure telnet service is started and set to automatic.
On the controlling machine, open a dos window and type "telnet computer-name" or "telnet ip-address" when prompted enter username and password that is valid on controlled pc, at that point you can run many dos command line commands and programs. Make sure that controlled pc has passwords for all accounts, otherwise you open a big security hole.
