Makesure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require thatmatches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. hey hi ...i have Acer aspire one model no. ZG5 showing problem in its web cam.. couple of days before it was working perfectly alright.. then unfortunately i deleted my audio driver some how and after that i put the CD n recovered my system since this system recovery my web cam is not working.. i have linux fedora installed in my laptop..[by the way i m new user of linux so dont know its features and options rightly] its messenger is not showing me my web cam option on a chat window.. please help me.. it seems to me that there is some driver missing or may be web cam is disable.. but m fail to find the problem... kindly help me..
"My Computer" is the only way to access it. Not sure why they set it up that way, but they did. Right click it and create shortcut that you can drag to desktop. The camera also does not come with software. It uses windows native control for it. If you you were able to screw up the design of a 300.00 laptop.....they did it with that camera.
Do you have some software installed like Youcam. Either way something else to try is right click on My computer, select properties and then click device settings and look and see if your cam is there. It should be under imaging devices. If not then go to Acers website and download the driver.
Sometimes you can select if it is a 2 way video chat or just a receive (they cant see you) Also check and see if the chat client is configured to use the webcam as its default video device.
Look for an icon or a menu item under all programs titled "Crystal Eye".
