Hello,
I have provided a link to the manual (requires Adobe Reader to read)
On page 15 it gives you a layout of the pins and tells you exactly what goes where.

How to find the power button inside the motherboard...

inside the motherboard there are groups of pins that are in 2 pairs...

they are in 2 column...

you can noticed to them that the other one has a excess pin..

it means that is the group of pw button reset button pw led hdd led..

the other groups are for usb and internal speaker...

use a philips or screw driver, or even a long nose try to short the pins in pair if you already find the pins of the power button..the sequence of the next buttons are:
pw button
reset button
pw led
hdd led

that's all hope its a help..

Where to fix the power switch, power led and HDD led

There will be a set up pins pointing up from the mother board - usually along one edge, and the cable you have that come from the switches / LEDs on the front panel will fall in the general direction of those pins. If you look very carefully at the writing next to those pins you will see words like PW = power switch, HD LED = Hard Drive LED lights, SP = speaker and so on. You really should visit the motherboard manufactures web site, find your board and download the manual which will show you as well as tell you how to connect up the wires. LET this be a lesson to you! Write down or draw a picture BEFORE you start pulling wires out!

The motherboards are almost always labeled and so are the wires. Colored wires are + and black is -. The LED wires and power button wires can go on either way. HDD LED, PW LED PW SW is the switch. These are very common abbreviations on the motherboard.

Take a decent picture of your mobo pins and I can probably tell you where everything goes.

Gigabyte GA-8INXP Motherboard Problem- front connector pins

If the wires from the reset switch is white/blue the blue wire is positive, Hdd red/white red is positive power Green/white Green is positive etc. The wires on the speaker connector will be red/black/black/white - red is positive. The colored wire is always positive. On all GA mb's the positive connection is always towards the back of the MB and are marked with a + on the base of the pin as you can see on the photo. Hope this help.
