Could be many things.....You didn't say what Operating System you're on. So I'm going to assume it's Windows XP. First of all it could be that it's just muted. Goto START-CONTROL PANEL-Then goto SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVICE tab or icon. Under the VOLUME tab, click on ADVANCED tab this will bring up another display box, make sure that there is no check mark in any of the boxes marked MUTE. If so, uncheck it, make sure the volume is up or at least not turned all the way down.

Secondly you want to make sure that you have your speakers connected in the ports to the sound card in the back of your PC correctly, and make sure that the volume is turned up as well on the speakers. Let us know how this turned out. Good luck.

How to unsinstall my onboard sound card drivers

You can usually disable your onboard sound card by going into your BIOS setup when your PC starts. Older mother boards have a jumper setting on the board to disable onboard sound. If you cannot do either of these, then just disable your onboard card in "device manager"

Lost sound after I restored it
that should be your sound driver assumong you've got onboard sound...  before downloading and trying to install this check your BIOS and make sure onboard audio is set to "on" or "enabled"
if this is a PCI or other non-onboard sound device then you'd need to tell me which one it is

Daer Respected Sir I Dont know which audio aound card i have ... i have xp professional window in my computer... and i dont have any installed sound card on my pc... my query is that how can i comes to...

If the sound is onboard (physicaly part of the MoBo) then you have to go to the manufacturers site, and download the various drivers and see which one works. if the card is an add-on then power down your unit (ground yourself to the tower chassis) take the card out and have a look for a distinguishing name. if you can't find one, then it gets very tedious. you have to start search for FCC identifiers on the chips, and usually do a sort of reverse look up for the manufacturer.

Realtek audio driver

The Audio chip set you have is a C-Media CMI9739A.

You can get the driver free from...

Choose 'Onboard Audio'

Then 'CMI9739'

Then choose you OS

Click 'Next'

Then click on the file to download it.

Save it your 'my Documents' folder. When it has downloaded, just click on the file to install the drivers, it should reboot the PC when installed, if not just reboot it yourself, and then you should have working audio again.

Just a small tip, Why not find all the drivers that you need to run your system and save them all to a cd for future use. You never know when you may need it again.

Hope this Fixs you.

Please remember to rate.
