I have a GE 13" television with the VHS on the bottom; tv works great; remote doesn't want to work even with new batteries....I had a Video in the machine and removed it after I had the new AT&T Universe cable installed. Now my TV is stuck in the VHS mode and I can't get the TV back on--blue screen. Any ideas?

If you are certain that your remote is defective, consider buying a GE universal remote as a replacement. The instructions that come with the replacement remote will tell you how to get it working with your TV
pls. check tv is in chaild Lock mode / LOCK mode.
so check tv panal key use . is working ? NO then tv is in chield lock mode. see user's menual and set chaild lock trun off.
chek with new remot cantrol if not work then problum is tv set
see tv frant panel on IR [simbol] clear with cloth smuthly [dust free]
if not working Remot cantrol then problum is inside tv .pls check tv by nr. tech.
go up to your TV and go into the menu. Go to the channel selection and run the auto select for channels. This will take some time but the TV will end off the first channel found, the only thing is you cannot get back into video mode without the remote
Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!
