One of two things, if you have a lot of use on the set or if it's on every day for a long period of time you probably have a worn out picture tube. If this is the case it would far exceed the price of a new set to repair, if a picture tube could even be found for it.
The other thing could be open transistors on the CRT circuit board. Based on it's age, it's probably not worth repairing unless it's a very large set 32" or 36" .

My coby flatscreen comes on and works but strobes flashing light but works good just with strobing light ! whats going on?

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

My lcd digital lifestyle tv is blinking like a strobe light.

Your back-lighting is failing. This is part of the LCD panel and can not be repaired without replacing it. Due to the cost of the panel, best advise would be to replace the TV. Sorry for the bad news... you should check into your warranty status.

FLICKERING BACK LIGHT

Sounds like you have an LCD tv with backlight problems. Check power board for domed capacitors and replace them. next check connections on the inverter boards. they are on the sides or just one side. Becareful there is high voltage output from these boards. If the cable from inverter board is not good to the screen you can get a strobing. the inverter boards may need replaced. or cales to screen may be bad. The panel also could be bad.
