Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
Works fine when connected to computer by USB cable. Battery fully charged. When I disconnect it from the computer, it is totally dead. Cannot turn on.
First thing is... company phone or personal phone? if its company you need to call your tech support dept
If its personal the first step is to backup any data you have on the BB using the Desktop Software and SAVE THE FILE TO DESKTOP.
Then select your phone service provider at this site:
then download the device software. Then download the BB desktop software v. 4.6 at this site:
install the desktop software first then the device software.. this can take maybe an hour (not including the download time)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
