The most common way to connect a dvd player is through the composite inputs on your tv. they should be two or three jacks, depending on the age of your tv. your video comes through the yellow and audio through the white and red.

Can I hook it to TV and watch Netflix

You would need to get a cable that attaches to the tablet to go into the TV. Just like for the MacBook you would need a similar attachment.

How do I remove the base from the TV so it can be wall mounted without leaving the stand attachment attached to the TV

depends on what TV you have. Most TV models i've dealt with, you need to remove the whole back of the TV and take the base out. Some smaller LCD monitor bases like Dells are attached only by a latch. Some bases are held together by 4 screws where the VESA mount would go.

Pulled the vhf connector from the back of tv. Need to hook cable and vcr to tv, but do not know how

Are you indicating there to be a hole in the TV where a threaded connector used to be permantely attached?
If so, the connector was part of the tuner assembly. Most shops will replace the tuner rather than to re-attach the connector to the tuner. On those that I have repaired, I was able to re-attach the connector to the tuner as the PC card inside usually does survive the incident. Re-attachment requires a good pliers, patience and good soldering skills. It usually takes me about an hour, depending on the model.

Place where the coaxial cable attaches to the TV is broken.

You most likely need to reconnect the conenction, sodering it would most likely work. IF you don't have the skillset or know some one who does, replace the TV or use another connection on it (if it has one)

How do i attach a Wall Mount to the TV?

I have the same TV, and I bought a mount with 4 connector holes. I was able to connect 3 of the 4 and it has been fine as the TV does not weigh too much. The TV was not designed with the current mode of either wall or stand mount. It was just intended for stand. I have had it on the wall for over 2 years.
