Question about Verizon Communications Ethernet/Wireless-G Gateway DSL Starter Kit for
My wife brought Home a Verizon wireless DSL gateway model GT704WG , and I am trying to hook it up to my Verizon UM150 broadband wireless card, I have no clue on where to start, does the wireless card plug into the computer or the gateway? the Instructions tell how to hook up to a DSL line and thats it. The sales person said that this will work with our wireless card. Please help. Thanks , Eric.
The UM150 wireless card goes into the computer.
however, the DSL need to be wired to your computer for initial configuration.
if you just hook up the DSL as verizon say, then you will have a open wireless network, anybody can get access to your network.

Tips for a great answer:
Aug 08, 2011 | 2wire Wireless-G 802.11g ADSL Gateway
NOTE: Client PCs can use any Wireless 802.11b/g card to communicate with VersaLink. The Wireless card and
VersaLink must use the same Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) security code type. The factory default for WEP is
Enabled. Please be sure that your computer's wireless adapter is configured properly for whichever network setting
you use: WEP or WPA. You can access the settings in the advanced properties of the wireless network adapter.
