flash code one, which has a variety of possibile problems

If this is a "newer" furnace, with a controller board, then you need to identify the blink codes of the LED on the controller board. There will be a chart on the unit somewhere that will tell you what the blink code means.

Reply back what you find and I can give you additional information based on those findings..

How old is your furnace? Does it have a circuit board that controls everything, or are there separate controls for each function?

No heat from furnace

If this is the first time unit has been fired up, you likely have air in the lines to purge first. Also make sure the gas supply is on/open. and that if there is a fuse present on the control board (likely a 3 Amp fuse) make sure it has not blown (which can happen simply by close proximity lightning strikes.)

Letting the unit go through the ignition sequence several times will purge the line. If furnace "locks out" on third start attempt, shut it off and start cycling it again until the furnace comes on..

This assumes the installation was checked for leaks initially.

Coleman gas furnace model #8665d766,..the burner cycles great,...but fan motor will sometimes continue to run,..if you hit it on the front side lightly,..it shuts off...?

Hello, this sounds like it may be a problem with the relay on the integrated control board. it sticks occassionally and therefore the fan will keep running, when you hit the front side it causes the relay to open and thus the motor turns off. only option is to replace the control board as the relay cannot be replaced byitself.

Have a Fridgidaire GR6C-080C-16 furnace that runs for a few minutes then gas supply is cut-off. Furnace will then re-start and the run through it's pre-cycle, just as if the thermostat just called for...

It sounds to me like you have problems with the gas valve as you have eliminated pretty much everything else. I would check all wiring to valve, check for any breaks on the insulation and clean all connections.
When the burner goes out is the blower still running or does it quit then the burner go off? If that is the case I would think the thermal overload on motor was tripping. It makes me more inclined to suspect the gas valve due to the lack of any diagnostic code.
One other thing I would try is to check power to gas valve when burner is firing and see what it does when it cuts out.If it maintains power when gas shuts off then I would replace gas valve. Good luck and thank you.

All burners will not light on Goodman furnace

I have had problems like this before. Most of the time it is the connection between the burners. There are small slots that the gas runs thru to lite. Clean those with a brush and then try it. Rus

Got an older modle gas dryer running on propane, have a full tank starts up and runs for 1 to 3 cycles than dosen't fire. Ignighter works just dosen't fire up. Shut it down and wait a few minutes and works...

Are you any issues with any other appliances? (i.e. Water heater, range, oven , furnace) If you are having issues with your regulator(on the propane tank), then other items would be affected also.
If your ignitor is trying to ignite, then you are not getting gas to the burner.
  1. Replace the thermacouple.
  2. If this does not fix the problem, then you are looking at a bad gas valve.
