Usually either the lever (button) has slipped out of it's pivot point, the spring has come out, or the switch below the button is broken. To check, look around the edges for a small screwdriver slot or small screw. Open the mouse. Look at the button to see how it pivots. If on opening there are small pieces of plastic, discard the mouse. if it has just slipped out of its spot, realign and close the mouse, it should be good to go.
check it on some other pc ... if the problem is still the same then u need an replacement, if out of warranty , then open the mouse, remove the button and get a new one of the same kind and fix it... u need a solder iron to do that bro remember :)
REALLY DEPENDS ON THE AGE OF THE MOUSE AND HOW OFTEN YOU USE THE RIGHT CLICK FEATURE. LIKE MYSELF I USE IT CONSTANTLY. UNFORTUNATLEY IF THE RIGHT CLICK NO LONGER FUNCTIONS AND YOU USE THE MOUSE ALOT LIKE ME THE MOUSE IS SIMILAR TO A KEYBOARD IN THAT IT HAS ONLY SO MANY TACTILE TOUCHES BEFORE IT HAS WORN ITSELF OUT. YOU CAN HOWEVER GO TO CONTROL PANEL IN YOUR OP SYSTEM UNDER MOUSE ETC AND DIAGNOSE A SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITY BY RECALIBRATING THE MOUSE. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK IT IS MOST LIKELY TIME FOR A NEW MOUSE.
Try going to Control Panel and click on the mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse. In the left column, move your cursor over the right side button click on the drop down and select magnify. Hopefully it will now work.
I had to move the magnify function to the left button because it was to sensitive on the right.
In the Device Manager, check the mouse section for any ? question mark over your mouse model. If so, right click the mouse model, select properties, and in the driver tab, click update driver.
It will make your mouse work perfect.
