Sounds like the capacitors on the deflection power board CP150, CP120 and CP114 they are famous for failing in all versions of the ITC222 chassis. You can get the repair kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit has the caps and the cd with repair instructions
That model is famous for having issues with the deflection board failing. Replacing the deflection board should solve the issue. You can get replacement deflection board for the ITC222A chassis from www.tvrepairworld.com under the RCA circuit boards catagory.
Very easy repair. You can install the repair kit called the ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit. Its available from www.tvrepairworld.com and it contains the parts and the CD with instructions.

This model of TV uses the ITC222A chassis. This is a common problem in this unit. The problem is usually centered around 4 capacitors (CP140, CP150, CP110, and CP114) They usually vent (becom bloated or puffy) and develop an internal short which causes the TV to shut down. This is usually caused by power surges (even when connected to a surge protector). The repair for this problem does not cost much, and I would suggest that you have a TV repair technician examine this TV due to the other problems that can happen with this chassis (ITC222A).
the most common component to fail with that sympton is the flyback. If the chassis is a ITC222A the flyback will be 259296 or 265409 as they were both used in that chassis and model number. If you need more assistance let me know the Chassis number from the tag in the back.
You can get the service manual emailed to you at the following link. The manual is listed under Thomson the ITC222 chassis is a thomson which is RCA It cost 12.99 but they provide free on line tech support to help you with your diagnosis and repair and they also sell parts with free installation instructions. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
