Hi. You have battery failure and you have lost everything. If it is a powerful machine, it may require a lot of system programming. Do not put any user programming into it until it has had a battery and system settings performed by a dealer.

The battery is either soldered to the main board or plugged into it. On some low end models, there are AA batteries in the printer compartment. Since you have not told me which Casio you have, I can't be more specific. Your manual will not tell you how to repair your machine, as it is not a service manual - these are held by dealers since there is a risk of electrocution or severe damage if the user attempts these repairs.

The 6500 uses a special Vanadium Pentoxide Lithium battery inside the machine. It must have the correct battery or it will lose the programming every time the power is turned off (Also risk of explosion due to charge system). If the previous owner had the battery changed on time (three to five years), then you would only have a few things to program. This model is complicated to setup as it uses dynamic memory allocation wich must be set before all other system options. Take it to a dealer and they can do it all for you. If you want to save money, just ask them to do the system programming, then you can do the rest from your manual.

In my casio te-2400 cash register after doing the fc reset, it displays p1, what do you from this point?

If you have that on the display, the FC reset was successful. it should have printed out a receipt at the same time. Now you turn the key back to REG and the lockup that you were trying to clear should be gone.
If anyone needs a manual for a Casio TE-2400, the programming manual is here:

I had posted this problem once before hopefully get assisted this time. I purchased a casio TE-4500F register with scanner I had to reinitialise it to clear old data, and reset it now the scanner red light...

Hi. This is normal. Unless you made a backup, you will have lost a lot of system programming. Firstly you must make sure you have initialised it with the code for scanning and not check tracking. To do this:
Turn key to program mode 5 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL
This will print the memory allocation. Next to file 16, you should see a figure in the thousands (usually 6000).
Next you need to allocate the I/O port for the scanner. Try this:
Turn key to program mode 3 SUBTOTAL 298 SUBTOTAL 2000 CASH SUBTOTAL
Now perform a flag clear to set the new I/O:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL.
Turn back to REG mode and try it. You might have to log a clerk back on after the flag clear. See how you get on.

Casio te-2200 set up!

Yes, that's the problem alright. you said it in the first sentence. It hasn't been used for a while. Therefore, no one would have replaced the batteries as they weakend from sitting, so now you have memory corruption which means you have lost everything from the machine. It must be fully RAM cleared and re-programmed. I hope you have a backup, or there may be a lot of work ahead. If your dealer programmed it originally, they will probably have a backup of your prog to dump into it.

Casio CE-3700 cash register MAC instructions

Hi. I would advise both of you to try a flag clear first to see if you have any program left.

Turn key to program. Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED, and turn power on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG and try it.

If you still need help, let me know.

I would assume this could have been a product that was returned to the company that you purchased it from. Follow these instructions. 1. 1. Disconnect power from the base by pulling the plug out of the back of the unit. 2. Press and hold the Page button and while holding the Page button reconnect the power. 3. Continue to hold the Page button until the charge/in use light flashes rapidly. 4. Release the Page button. 5. Press and release the page button on the base once. All handsets are de-registered and HANDSET NEEDS REGISTRATION shows in the display. Then From the Handset Setup Menu: 1. Press the caller ID-volume ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to the REGISTRATION sub-menu. 2. Press the mute/program button to enter the menu. REGISTRATION 1YES 42NO - - -shows in the display. The default setting is 2NO. 3. Use the touch-tone pad to select 1 for YES or 2 for NO. Or use the caller ID-volume ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to 1YES or 2NO. 4. If you select YES, press the mute/program button. HOLD BASE PAGE FOR 5 SECONDS, THEN PRESS HANDSET PROGRAM shows in the display. (Your handset should be held near the base during registration process.) 5. Press and hold the page button on the base unit until the charge/in use indicator flashes. Press the handset mute/program button. REGISTERING shows in the display. HANDSET X REGISTERED shows in the handset display, where X is the handset number. You may now rename your handset. (Refer to Step 3 & 4 of Handset Name Section) NOTE: IF you are re-registering the handset through the handset menu; to rename your handset you must go to the Handset Name Section and start from the beginning step. I understand that you have tried the registation process. Sometimes with electronics, you have to start from ground 0, before it will work correct again. If there are further questions or comments, please post here. Please rate this solutn through fix-it. Thank you
