I have a 2000 cadillac sls. Battery ran down, can't use radio&CD

Try disconnecting your battery for 10 minutes to reset the radio and factory amp. Disconnect negative terminal only and avoid touching your 8mm wrench to the positive post(s). Read the warnings on top of the battery about smoking and open flames and safety glasses too, or you can read the owner's manual and pull the radio memory fuse for 10 minutes.

try taking the radio out and looking on the top for the parts number. call Honda and tell them what is going on and they will give you a 4 digit code that will reset the radio. i had the same problem with my 05 civic, did that and it worked for me.

Hooked my punch Punch P450.4 up to speakers and ran rca cables to front and it wont work

Hi Jon,  you need to hook the Remote wire up to the Radios  Blue remote wire.  The car battery power stays on all the time.  The blue Remote wire watches to see when the radio turns on, and signal the amp to turn on as well.

Humming and static and not working

Angela You need to keep the system rewiried or at least checked out by a professional. It sound to me like the amplifier in the back of the car is staying on this would explain the battery problems and the hum. Sometimes when wiring in systems the amplifier will use the factory speakers in the car and will amplify the sound and you create a feedback loop. ( like putting a microphone in front of a speaker) If the amplifier is not on and the power cables are unhooked and you are getting this hum through just the radio. I would suspect a faulty radio. But I am guessing from what you described you have a miss wired stereo system.
